I've just sent PM to you and Chonch. I forgot to mention applying this on noob is waste of time and not necessary. This tactic is to fight against veterans in planes with better handling than P38.
Another thing about P38: in rooms filled with mainly noobs, it still rack up kills slower than Z3 or even Yak3. So if anyone is serious about moving up in ranks, sticking to Z3 is the best option. Also in FFA with 1-2 Z3 veterans and many noobs, P38 will also tends to lose in the kill race in the match. But it's really satisfying and fun when u lead in the kills and rank #2-4 or more are Z3 veterans. And then take a screenshot of the ingame score table and post it here to shame the Z3 players in the game. Muahahahaha....

How do you guys avoid rockets in dtb, where the entire opposite team is firing volley after volley. I can't dodge them all because whenever I go h2h with one that has just fired, the other three fire rockets at me.
one of the reasons why I hate DTB BUT, if you play TP, you'll face those 2 and there's really only 2 suggestions: 1. you have to dance your plane all over the place. take tiny potshots at them once you have a red reticle then dive or climb, twist and turn your way around until you get closer 2. look for little white flashes from the front of their plane 3. oh, one last one - pray and ask for God to be your co-pilot good luck, keebler aka TnA SkyNinJa
Usually they go for my teamates too so I can engage one on one. I like dtb though because sooooooooooooo many noobs play it, and all they want is to take out the base. I can sit at their base and pin them to the spawning point for a good five minutes before they bail on the game
Yes, DTB has lots of noobs. But my silly team mates will just destroy the enemy base and put me back to our base and I've to do the distance flying over again.
Thanks Shern I pretty much do that, but I still can't get the hang of the p-38. I just can't get a feel for it. That same tactic works with the Mosquito and everything else too BTW
For TP just fly low and out of their line of fire, when you see them on the radar above you, fly straight up and get them. That's the easiest way to get a rocketeer... you'll win every time as they have to line up straight to shoot you and can't get you very shooting down and at an angle. If they do get you, it's luck. You can also get behind a teammate and let them get blown up by the rocket first.... then kill the rocketeer. Not nice, but it provides for some really cool visuals as you fly though a bunch of exploding planes. I only do this rarely and purely for the dramatic effect.
Yeah, it's annoying when they take out the base. But it keeps your godlikes and killstreaks while giving you a new plane, which has made my day more than once
Yeah, sometimes when I feel really bored I'll match their speed and stick to their tale without them knowing, then suddenly blast them out of the sky with a few mg rounds. I like the fly behind teammate idea though, I wouldn't have thought of that
Lol. Love the dramatic effect. Awesome thinking! I personally like flying straight at them, firing my cannons then usually a quick duck or climb then right back at them. It hurts them, if not kills them, i avoid the rockets thus getting closer to the "spawn pinning point" And as I get closer, I slow down while acquiring targets and non stop firing. A rocketeer timed me off yesterday while i was in the mustang. Once I got to the pinning point, I counted - I killed the plane every 3-4 seconds - 25 times before i decided that was enough. Lol
Keebler, Do you want to join in the no Zero3 campaign? Basically it is to fly non Z3 plane until the update come with new planes, which should be within 3 weeks time.

That's great!! But be forewarned that Z2 is like tissue paper in front of Z3, Yak3 and the 2 big planes. I like the white color though. Maybe I'll fly the Z2 later too. Now I'm still at work.
