Agreed. Their other iPhone and desktop simulators are terrific, but the Carrier one is pretty lame apart from the accurate flight modeling and the challenge of carrier takeoffs and landings. You can also fly Phantom vs MIG21, with heat-seeking missiles, but that's also not very satisfying. X-Plane should stick to flight sims.
I've thought the same about the mustang - it was a fantastic fighter. Now, 2 planes which I don't believe have been mentioned yet and I sure hope are included in the update: The P-38 lightning and the P-47 Thunderbolt - both being especially devastatingly ferocious fighters. There's really a green Zero. I also saw one in FFA room. So that's it for Zero. The more powerful one is the white one. I can forsee what planes are in store for the upcoming update. They are coming in pairs: P40- green, ??? Spitfire- red and green Zero- white and green BF109- brown and grey Hien- white and green Corsair- blue, ??? Temptest- yellow, ??? FW190- blue, ??? Mustang- Grey and white So that's left with 4 more planes to unvail. I think there will be the powerful P40 with heavy armor like the history said, and the speedy temptest.
After doing flight test in same AA FFA room in white hien, white zero and blue corsair, I find the handling rating of hein is misleading. it's turn rate is slightly worse than corsair and clearly worse than zero. The zero still has the best handling among the 3 class1 fighters. The firepower of hien is indeed 4 stars rating. This makes hien an excellant h2h fighter that comes with smaller x-sectional front. I think it's hard to say now which is the best. After adjusting the handling: White hien: firepower: 4 handling: 4 stalling speed: 120km/hr Zero firepower: 3.5 handling: 5 stalling speed: 100km/hr Corsair: firepower: 4 handling: 4.5 stalling speed: 140km/hr it looks to me the white hien is more like a BF109 with added speed. Anyway the hien does resembles the BF. So if handling is the most important aspect (because it help u to get more opportunites on targets and ease of lining up for good shot), then I would rank the Zero still the best plane till date, followed by corsair and then the white hien.
Don't forget the marines wildcat and it's better half the hellcat. i still think it would be cool to have multi person planes like the p-61 (although i don't know how they would get that going with online play)
i was an early adopter but *RIP* mef told me that if you had played some levels as a brand new player to fast they gave you a p40 with flames on the nose.
Can u elobrate more? I don't quite get u. I keep seeing P40 with white patches on top of the wings. Is this the one with flame on it's nose?

I agree with Keebler--I'd love to see a P-38. Apart from the fact that it was a great plane, it would look really cool in a dogfight. Just to add a bit of variety, how about an "Oddball Pack"? It could have the Gloster Gladiator, Fiat CR 32 or 42, Polikarpov I-16. Even the Buffalo would fit in. Of course, it wouldn't be much fun to fly these against anything else.
How about reset your used and try the mission again? Is it the first mission? My user got reset again by itself. This is the third time. Luckily it doesn't reset my score in the global ranking. But I'll getting all the achievement messages during the game again, making people think i'm a new beginner.
You can read my signature on what I think is the best to the worst. To me the most important aspect is the handling. Handling means tighter turning radius and ease of control to line up for good shot. This mean more targets can be found. Despite the white zero, white hien and corsair is having same 4.5 stars rating, after flying many sorties in these 3 planes, I'm pretty sure the White zero has better handling than Corsair and the white hien is just on par with 4 stars rating planes. I sill think the white hien performs like BF109 with added speed. I used to fly spitfire to enter top3. But after getting used to zero great flight smoothness experience, I find the spitfire just can't match to the performance I enjoyed when I use zero.
Also, how do I get into SAB? Walk me through the steps here, I'm really to lazy to click on the group and read. I can't provide screenshots if you require stuff like that though. My iPod sometimes has problems with transferring photos.

Nope..i'm a lone wolf - maybe I should start a bidding war - squad to buy me some planes, gets me in their ranks lol j/kg. good on you about those rocketers. if they attack me, they will be shot down. otherwise, anyone is game funny story: one rocketer fired at me way too many times today so i kept killing him. then he stopped. but i didn't. I HUNTED him down like a wolf circling a wounded deer. i can't even remember how many times I shot him down. It was pure fun for me. The final time I nailed him before I had to leave, we honestly had a 30-40 second dogfight where I felt like the eagle just waiting for my chance to pounce on the little robin. I kept pecking away, biding my time until I made one great move to slow down and circle right behind him then bang bang bang. after his plane blew up, he posted the ARGHH a few times I laughed and said GG, Adios.
