So how do u find your new plane, the Corsair, as compared to spitfire? Do u see improvement in your kill rate, kdr and fun level? ;)

I like playing in rooms filled with P40, doesn't matter FFA or TP. :D

I told you he was still out to kill us all Shern! It's just that he want's to kill us less than he wants to kill other guys with rockets! :) He is Keebler after all! It would be nice though if we didn't have to look over our shoulders when he was around! :)

That's my only knock on the Zero, I love going h2h! I just think it's a fun thing to do for some reason, though I would probably have less multiplayer deaths if I just stopped doing that! Interestingly though I now have 2062 more multiplayer kills than multiplayer deaths as apposed to around 1400 more kills than deaths that I had when I was using rockets. Thanks to the folks here for convincing me to change my evil ways and use the cannons. It would seem they are more advantageous to use over the long run than rockets.

I'd take a room full of green spitfires as well :)

Rocket users are more effective in TP than in FFA, which explains why u find more rocket users in TP than in FFA. once I entered a TP room and seems like I'm the only cannon user. Rockets flew past me from behind coming from my team mates, and rockets fired from the enemies. The scene look like modern air combat with opposing team exchanging missiles. This is followed by boom boom boom boom, like fireworks. I'm amazed how accurate rocket users are nowadays. And their kill rate in TP room is amazing. Matched to the fastest kill rate I've seen from cannon user. They become weak in FFA rooms somehow.

I would like to organize a get together this weekend. We have never tried before. It will be in the early morning of USA, evening of Europe and midnight in Asia. I'm thinking of have an organized TP match among us.

I'm organising a re-enactment of the pacific war, between Zero and Corsair, in ocean map. Flag limit at 50. Game start once both sides have one player each. Subsequent players to quit and re-enter until they are in the right team. No ROE rule apply for SAB. This is a friendly match for fun for everyone.

Interested players please register now :D

    F4U Corsair team
    1)
    2)
    3)
    4)

    A6M Zero team
    1) Shern

Sola has just switched to Zero. Maybe he sees me in Zero these few days and so he's trying that out. Just maybe.

Most times i do escape. I watch the front of their plane for the launch, then I fire a few rounds their way, then quick evasive action. After I move, I do my best to back in line and fire again before their rockets recharge. When they finally close, I bank after them then it's usually game over :)

I hunted dannys ip ruthlessley last night b/c he kept after me. Even he launched a few args which I thought was funny :). Lol

I just created a FFA room called AA. It draws in quite a few veterans and full house rather quick. Not sure how long will it last. Do look out for it.

    Keebler,
Glad I've made the right recommendation to u. I don't want to feel guilty for getting someone to buy a lemon.

I actually bought the Zero for 0.99 during the 3 day sale. So I won't recommend this to u since it's now 2.99. But it's really more fun flying that plane. U can really feel the smoothness in it's flight.

I wonder if they are going to charge us for Internet game play in the new version as it does say "free for a limited time". If they do I would hope that we would have more online options such as ranking and teams. Does anywone have any idea when this update will launch? I have some extra coin in my pocket at the moment and I would like to get all the purchases that this will intail out of the way. I sure do hope that they don't adapt the FAST model as well, as in you have to pay, pay, to be competitive.

Am I the only one who just realized that the online play works with a regular 3G connection. This is a HUGE improvement over having to look for a WiFi connection to get a game going. The game play is identical to Wifi, no lag and the games load just as fast. you can literally play online anywhere now.

But the main drawback of using 3G is that it use up the battery very quick, and also heat up your iPhone very quick. So u can't play longer than if u're on wifi.

I was under the impression that WiFi uses up the battery faster then the 3G.

3G used up the batt faster. It's stated in the iPhone.

This game must be a hit in Japan, looking at number of players with Japanese names. The Japanese mainly fly the Zero, followed by P40, then the Hien. There's only one japanese I met so far that uses the Corsair is Takeshi. I find he's still got a lot to learn.

I am thinking of a Japanese name as my game Id also. Does Shernie sound Japanese? How about shernko, shernto, or shernyo?

really? I thinks the data packs are same size.. and the work the programm does on the iphone (building the scenery and all that) So the work the iphone has to do is the same, just the way the data pack has to go is different. I don't think that this changes the battery usage. But i'm no software ingenieur...
