no that wasn't me. if you've played shern or frumius before, don't expect me to be any better than them. i've been on a long hiatus so i might be a bit rusty but i can still lead games. it's just frumius and shern have surpassed me for a long time now.

Thanks for the points update Chonch, wow Orion was right you are making very good progress after your break from the game :) If only we could ditch that Rocket geezer at #1! ;) simply do not understand why thats not been sorted out yet - come on SGN. Crikey [2ch]HE is on a roll, passed him weeks and weeks ago and hes now back in the picture ARGH! All change ahead.

Played a lot of TP games with Foofighter (JG-4). He must know your reputation Chonch :D I'm wondering if he is German as he's using the Jagdgeschwader 4 suffix (aka 4th Fighter Wing). Surprised he chose JG-4 as JG-52 was the top scoring wing in WWII (10,000 kills for 678 KIA, all in the Bf109), he needs to ditch the Yak for a Bf!

Still a legend and gent of the game though Capt!

I feel the need... the need for... err sleep! Totally understand buddy! It nice to just chill you have nothing to prove like Capt Fear, <?>, etc all quality players. I've rediscovered my LIFE lol Hope to start flying my RC helicopter soon as the weather is improving so my return to 'fulltime' SoGing is on hold!

Also trying to convince the good lady that its more cost effective to replace my battered up iPod for a new one :D ;) Maybe a charge through the ranks like Sola and Shern is on the cards haha (NOT!).

    OFF TOPIC
Meant to say have you got your e-cigs yet? I've been 'vaping' since Dec 2008, cracking way to quit or cut down. 25+ years on Camel/Marlboro and stopped overnight (I must confess I do have the odd cig and cigar now and again, but no where near the 15-20 a day). If you need any additional info PM me :) I take it you have visited the ecig forum?

Thanks for offering your help with this buddy! I sent you a PM and I am surfing that forum today, but I have to admit I am feeling pretty frustrated right now with this whole e cig thing. Too much info and I like this one I have on trial when it works. The cartriges don't last but for a short while and the batt runs out way to quickly. I feel if I figure this out I can quit smoking for good! Any help you can offer is greatly apriciated... Really really apriciated! :)

    Fever

    Here is my public journal:
I have been hit by high fever as high as 39.6Ç since 11th May until now, and it has not recovered! Today afternoon taking a nap I dreamt I was flying my Yak-3 in search of the 2 Zero-III that has caused me fever. By killing them both I will recover, that's what I thought inside my dream. Why 2? I also dunno. Then as I fly past a number of Zero-III, it dawns on me that maybe I'm search the wrong plane. They could be FW-II. Anyway, the dream was very confusing. I think that's because I played SoG while having fever so my mind got so mixed up.

Now trying to get more rest and has stop playing, and hopefully I'll be well by tomorrow. :(

End of public journal 14th May 2010.

Thanks buddy, you're very good too. I think our meeting before was so lopsided because as you gain experience and play against hundreds/thousands of different players you can sort of predict there stye and common moves they do. I'm not positive but I think you might be engaging in a bad habit of constantly firing your guns in a turn whether your target is visible or the reticle is red or not. The problem with this is that your guns will usually overheat and "click" right as the other plane appears floating right in front of you and you miss an easy kill shot. The other negative of being trigger happy is that when playing in a full room, the yellow indicators showing the direction of other planes offscreen will flash red, identifying which one is in fact chasing you. Holding your fire and weaving erratically is a great way to confuse your oppenent and get him to begin chasing a different plane in another direction and you can pull right in behind him. If I'm wrong and you actually don't fire all the time then at least this info is here for the hundreds of new players who lurk on the boards :D.

Right now it's just Chonch. I was "Great Balls of Ire" last night but then magically realized that that sounded really dumb so I switched back. I normally fly the red Zero but I've been flying other planes for fun so if I enter a room and then leave, it's because I've spotted a "name" and have gone to switch back to my Blushing Broadax, my Crimson Cremator, my Vermilion Vanquisher, my Blood-soaked Butterfly, my.....ehhh none of those are really working. Anyway, it's possible I might not find the room again so be patient with me. Our meeting will happen. :D

I feel your pain on the quitting smoking. One of the hardest things I've had to do. I was a fairly heavy smoker to boot. I began with Marlboro Reds, moved to Lucky Strike non-filters, and finished by rolling my own with Bali Shag (actually visited the factory when I went to Denmark).*
I did it with nicotine gum. That helped by satisfying my chemical addiction, while I broke my mechanical habit - the actual lighting up, inhale, exhale, etc. It's been about a year since I started with the gum, and since then quit everything entirely, but even now when I get a craving, it's for the gum.
It's probably the best thing you'll ever do for yourself and others, so stick with it, be forgiving of yourself (I chewed the gum like a madman, and gained like twenty pounds, but I didn't care so long as I didn't smoke) and don't lie to yourself - I loved smoking and, if not for the health concerns, would have smoked forever; I quit in spite of that, and today I don't even remember the experience anymore. Best of luck!!! * * * *
