Charles, give it a whirl. I bet you'll like it. If you like it at all, you should buy one of the in-app planes because the default plane is very weak compared to many of the ones that are pretty inexpensive. While that will help make you more competitive, know that there are many people who have been playing for months and are very good. Those guys ::cough::uh, we::cough:: will eat you alive. Don't get discouraged. Learn from it. It will harden you and be the best school for developing your skills. Be fast, be quick -- if you fly slow and straight and you will die quickly. Practice changing speeds with the up/down throttle buttons. Turn often. Practice increasing your turn rate by turning while pressing the down throttle button -- this also operates the flaps. When you fire at a plane, lead it accordingly. You will lead based upon your relative angles and speeds, just as you'd imagine, i.e, if you're right behind them or head-on, you don't lead; if you're at any other angle you will lead them more or less depending on the above. I don't recommend rockets in air-to-air combat, though a few people are fairly effective. No one that any of us considers to be an ace uses rockets, for the simple reason that they are much less conducive to effective dogfighting, particularly close combat. We kill at much, much faster rates firing both machine guns simultaneously. When you are very damaged and you see "Bail Out" (or whatever it says!), shake your plane to bail out. If no one shoots you down in about 3 sec, then you don't have a death counted against you.

for those who didn't know about it, it's got to do with trying to unlock all planes by modding a file and accidentally not replacing the extra spacings, which lead to this "hack"

I think the most interesting group of people I've ever met in my life are all you guys in TA SoG. I dreamt if one day I strike lottery of $5m (may probably happen in my tonight after I buy $10 worth of ticket-wish me luck), I really want to sponsor all your flights and lodgings and food to come to Singspore to have a once in a lifetime gathering of SoG fans! And your family whom u bring along will be sponsored too, but limit 6 person per family. And we can meet one another in real life and no more virtual existance. Besides touring in my country, we can have our own contests and some small prizes for winners. Sigh... All this is but a dream. Btw, I have been buying the lottery ticket for many years and never win once.
