btw BC, just a quick heads up about the rocketing noobs - as much as i loath them as well, some of them simply don't know it's bad form. it's not entirely their fault. I've actually come to hate them a little bit less than before.

Also, some are just kids who maybe can't upgraded their planes.

i still slay them though. :)

I sometimes check this forum. And I hope for a reply in a message to me.
But my English is poor. And it takes time.
    I should have studied English.
However, I am mastering a translation software language.WOW!!!!!!

    私達は非常に努力を認める、私は容易知り、あなたにすべてのメッセージを翻訳するのに時間をかけなければならない。私達はすべて数十万の平面を破壊することをに忙しいことをわかっている。 最初の10へ二度得ることおよびまたコンテストに先日勝つことのお祝い。私はこの翻訳ソフトウェア仕事を望む。

EDIT: Message in English if the software I used isn't any good.

We very much appreciate the effort, I know its not easy and must take you a great deal of time to translate all the messages to you. We all know you are busy destroying hundreds of thousands of planes. Congratulations on getting to the top ten twice and also winning the contest the other day. I hope this translation software works.

This is awesome! Why didn't we think to use Japanese translations for our 2ch friends from the start?!

EDIT: Ok this actually isn't awesome. Corey on FB pointed out that my translation I posted for Sola converts to absolute gibberish. I copy and pasted Orion's message to Sola too and his translates better but it still reads like something written by Coco the gorilla. Orion, what website or software did you use? I used Yahoo! Babel Fish.

Does anyone know of a quality translator? preferably free?

A quality translator, without knowledge of the language you're translating into, is still the stuff of science fiction. Google translator is good but keep the original text very very simple. Gibberish is bad, but insulting someone is worse.

#1 Reason why your not allowed to fly and drink! As your able bodied stewardess evidently serving up ZIII on the rocks. . . . . . . . off the rocks too once or twice I think. . . . . No Problem!

On a side note, to all those over the age of 21 here in the U.S., if you haven't tried Warfteiner, a German beer I recommend it quite highly. . . . .at the moment. The jury is still out about tomorrow morning!

Thanks, that was a huge help. I tried translating everything through Google and Orion and I should at least be able to get our points across from now on. You mentioned how poor translations could possibly be offensive and I noticed that "connection" translated to "relationship" when I told Sola I lost connection during our match. I could easily see how casually talking about having a bad or annoying connection could be read as saying you don't like someone.

PS: Orion, I hope I didn't offend you with the gorilla comment

Since we both live in the same neck of the woods you should have access to Dogfish Head beer. Their 120 Minute IPA is without question the best beer, whiskey or wine I've ever tasted. It's rough, high calorie and expensive (about $10 for one bottle) but it's worth a try if you're adventurous. It's also about 20% alcohol so keep that in mind if you're planning to drive. One bottle is about equal to four Bud Lights. You may want to start out with their 90 Minute IPA which is fantastic and a lot cheaper. You get a 4-pack for $10-11.

For those of you who can't get Dogfish Head, Rogue makes something called "Dead Guy Ale" which is very similar to the 90 Minute IPA and cheaper. You get an extra two bottles for your $10.

Edit: These beers taste more like a light whiskey. They're dark, thick and burn going down. So if that's not your thing than you should probably pass. I envy you British guys here since you have access to Green Spot!

Had a couple of good matches in different rooms with a "smurfette". Decent player in the beginning. I couldn't resist myself, so I changed my name to Papa Smurf, created a room called "Tral la la la lala", and waited...

Sure enough here comes Smurfette, and all you see is "Papa Smurf killed Smurfette" over and over. I think I created a monster though bcz after a little you start seeing "Smurfette killed Papa Smurf". So, sorry to whoever she runs into later.

Hey Orion, my favorite part about our attempts at Japanese is that the only part that came out perfect was "I hope this translation works!"

After translating my own message it looked like this:

    HBnihg jfsajps jgsisk;lffskprewipor jewrigows;;
    slfsjsp;s;vjfs;s dsjl;[ww[pp3[rs;avm pksjs;laj
    sjerbcnjk nscjknsjjk ndfrenursj sjowoies lkcnsd
hsieis! djasljfrls dsiflnlssl owiwa flkjsjlsals sajl
aldsjs! I hope this translation works!

I think shern25 will come back a changed man. I sent him the link for '1 cup'. They got a funny write up along with the video on Encyclopedia Dramatica. He was so determined to witness it.

    I pray for his soul.

    Corrupted forever now.

I say translation software, but use a translation site. Among much translation sites, I use a translation site of Yahoo Japan. The English translation of this site is very good. English is world language. The Japanese studies English at school. :p
If it is very simple English, I can understand without translation. (but I cannot write it)
    "lost connection" is famous.
We "LOSCOOOOONI" "CONELOOOOOSH!!" I abbreviate it to "in Japan style and make a shout. It is true.:eek:
The translation site is distinctive in each.
"Connection = relations" are common things.
However, there is never that I felt unpleasant even if it is wrong translation. Because it knows an emoticon and your personality. :D

I wish you understand this sentence.
