Well let's just hope that they are really listining and are trying to make an effort to fix things. I'm very curious now what's going to happen when the servers come back online, and the markett too.
Thanks Mosquito, the blog is the only place left where we can hope to communicate with them. That is the most pressing issue, and they need to be made aware of just how bad it is.
That's cool! Just don't try and create a p-40 only room, and expect only p-40's.... wait a minute they are almost all p-40 only rooms these days! Guys! U all should try the single player skirmish mode 8v8!! It's totally awesome and mind blowing!! Wow! When u set 8v8 team play, all your 7 wingmen will be the same plane as yours! And it look very cool flying together with 7 wingmen in same planes. The enemy will be mixed of planes. But the really cool part is seeing the sihlouette of 8 enemies planes coming towards u, in formation! It's really like those dogfight war movies! Go on and try it while waiting for the server to be up!
yeah sgn's customer service has been horrid. not ONCE have returned an email or bug report, and now they've all but gone into hiding and ignoring mode. and the worst thing of it all is that all of the problems have been small and easily addressed! advertise a plane's TRUE stats, refresh rooms as they empty, hire a junior IT guy to just sit and reset the servers as needed. that's about it. everything else has really been miniscule.
Based on everything so far... my money is on a fluorescent orange Zero IV with rear facing super cannons and multiple rocket launchers being available in the Market for 59p Seriously though probably nothing... will keep checking the App Store for a surprise update... SoG 3.0 maybe?
They told us a while back that they don't need any software updates to release new planes, I don't know how, but that's what they said.
yeah- the planes are d/l content that gets added to the apps support files. it's just a skin png, and wireframe, and localdata stats. they're separate from the app program itself. same for maps.
The market is back up. No new planes, no new bundles. Everything is the same there. Are the game servers back up? I can't check them as some of you know. If they are, are there any changes?
I need a tip on single player mission #8 (Battle of Britain game). I'm in part 2 where I have to blow up the oil field tanks. I'm using the Fockewulf-II with machine gun and rockets. My difficulty is set to 50% (default). There are almost too many enemies to fend off for one person. About 6 planes, several tanks, stationery artillery, etc. and they are tearing me up. Should I try to take out all of these enemies or focus on blowing up the oil field? I'm just trying to make it through to unlock all of my planes.
Just blow up the oil fields. Also if you are just wanting to unlock your planes just set the campain difficulty under controls to 0 by sliding it all the way to the left. You should have no problems getting the planes from the campain missions then. The planes from the dogfights will be another matter. Thanks orion! I blew up a few of the ground cannons, which eased the pressure a little. It's not saving my game enough for my liking, though. I didn't want to have to set it to 0, but that's a good point. Yeah, I've finished about 56 of the dog fights out of 100. It's fun.
To get that red Yak, you have to beat dogfight 99, right? What are that plane's stats anyway? I was going to buy the blue Yak while it was on sale for a dollar, but I forgot to. I did pick up the Z3 though...
Yeah, I think you have to beat all of the dogfight missions. Orion put a link to the thread showing what you have to do.
That's correct dogfight 99 unlocks the red Yak unless they changed it. I won't quote you the stats as they aren't really correct on any of the planes in some of the categories, so I can't say what it's true values are, but it's not as good as the blue Yak, but not much worse. Not a worthy prize for competing dogfight 99 in my opinon. I have asked them for an exclusive plane in the BoB for winning 99, but I seriously doubt they would have done that. I haven't botherered with it in the BoB as I have done it twice already, and as I own all the planes, I no motivation to do it a third time... Unless they ever do give us an exclusive plane for doing so.... which I know they won't.

Right, thanks orion...I know you posted a link before with all those stats, but I've not been able to find it. It's a pretty long thread, after all.
I like it. I bought Skies of Glory: Battle of Britain, and after playing Skies of Glory. I'm going to advise anyone who wants to play this game to either pay for premium stuff or buy Battle of Britain though, because the free game is very limited.
