Rerolling info: That is interesting ... I am at 368 and my kdr was 1:1 in part because I insisted on the Mosquito & am not especially good. Just switched over to the Yak and my kdr boosted up to 3.5:1 over the weekend. What a difference the plane makes!
I live outside of Washington D.C. and our local football team is the Washington Redskins. We've had an new team owner for over a decade who is a member of the "more money than brains" club and has sort of run the team into the ground by wanting to be the boss when he's really just a guy who had a spare billion dollars to buy the team with hoping it would get his dad to love him. ANYWAY, They just hired a new head coach over the offseason named Mike Shanahan and it's a sign of big changes on every level of the organization and it's just an exciting time to be a fan for guys like me who have been watching the team suck since I was 10. I'm actually not that obsessed with football, I just happen to have changed my name after reading headlines from the team's ESPN page and it was the first thing to come to mind. I'll be changing it to something else by the end of the day.

Who has long retired from the game in pursuit of a less meaningful life goal like getting good grades in study to ensure he get into university and graduate to land him on a highly paid and prospective career. His ranking is at 288 with scores at 12264. One of the best players in earlier times. I just hope he will pay us a visit. I miss him. Mmmm... somehow I got a feeling he's dating China Girl. He's in Singapore btw. I also saw [SAB] Waiex at 295 rank. I wonder who is he.
I don't know why, but I just want to avoid that plane because so many other people use it. Sooner or later I will get curious though! One of my personality quirks is that I like to be a little different ....

It certainly would be interesting if they made this game free for one hour per day then "pay to play" for additional hours. Could be a leveling of the playing field for those of us that can't play all day!
Well he certainly seems to be on a mission! I fully expect him to knock me out of the top 10 here eventually. That's OK though, I really don't have as much time to dedicate to this game as I did before, and besides I can go back to elf hunting when I eventually do get bumped out! Just joking, with ya, but I am enjoying the tougher games with vets more than anything else here lately. I do hope they fix some of the crashing issues ect and give us some new planes to compete with the z3's. Honestly these two issues, and the fact I have a hard time finding good competion here of late ( I don't see you guys often enough) is starting to make things rather boring for me lately. I need some new planes, I really, really do.
My friend there is way more to this game than just your rank. I honestly feel very reluctant for them to start changing things like this. I played FAST some over the weekend while the servers were down and compared to this game it really really sucks. One of the issues it has apparently is that for the highscores it caps a players points for winning a round against lower ranked players. While this seems like a wonderful idea apparenty what it has lead to is the refusal of a lot of players to play with those ranked lower than themselves... I don't know I just think that while indeed the ranking system is not at all perfect, the game is still fun to play. I myself have never just played the points game. I made the top 10 just to see if I could, but I never did anything to propel myself there at the expense of having a good time. I mean look at all the deaths I have! I got a good chuck of those going H2H against anybody in anything! I really wanted to perfect that and it is in my nature not to flintch when the other guy is taking a swing at me! Hell I'm part Irish, what do expect of me! It's one of the ways I get my fun! If you really want to increase your rank quicky, here's what you do. Play only in games with tons of p-40's while in a zero III, and cash those points in every twenty kills or so and also make sure to leave games when someone better than you comes into the game. What's the fun in that though?
OK, Now that I think about this, I agree with you 100%. Given my time constraints and meatloaf-like thumbs, there is a limit to how high my ranking will get; and I am pretty close to that spot. So now I find myself playing "just for fun" instead of racking up as much kills as I can. It would definitely be a bummer if things changed so that high-ranked players were leaving rooms. I personally like the challenge of going after the high-scoring player in the room even if it means certain repeated death! And you are right, there is a certain grim satisfaction of going h2h even if you feel you are doomed from the outset.
Update Hi guys, there is version 2.1.1 (you should check iTunes I think), I play it for a while, first impressions: cannons more powerful (Z3) and flying more more smoother on mountains maps (I have 3G so thats good news)
The description just states "bug fixes". I guess now we can see why the servers were down so long! EDIT: I can't play online right now, but in squirmish mode it seems like they gave the mustang II afterburners! It's top speed now seems to be just above the redline! Yeah! Faster planes! Can't wait to try them all out now! EDIT: Nevermind, now it isn't flying as fast as it was for me a second ago.... Wierd.
