I am going to assume the BoB is the route they are pursuing now, which I do believe is a heck of a good deal and something we should reccomend to new players as they arrrive here. It's good for them SGN and us. At anyrate it ain't time to abandon ship yet. They haven't done anything yet, surely the understaind that most folks could never afford to spend that amount on an iPhone game. I wouldn't be suprised to see the super cannons though.

I don't know how many ppl i've got to dload planes, but I've told everyone to try it out. What do u think of this business plan I'm thinking for SGN: The BoB version will have sales of permanent upgrade to better MG for all the planes: Medium MG $1.99 increase all planes firepower by 0.5 star. Heavy MG $2.99 increase all planes firepower by 1 star. But to play this version with upgraded MG, u need to buy fuel, which is actually the online time. Then there is the free SoG version. No MG upgrade in this version but can play online for unlimited time. U can also buy all the planes in this version. Does this sound like a win-win situation?
It would be interesting if buying the "sweet" fuel was just a way of boosting speed. Actually, if you poke around in WP a bit, it turns out that fuel quality was a big issue. In the late 30s the standard octane rating was <100 (I don't remember the exact number but think it was high 80s or low 90s). By the end of the war, it was >100, and just boosting the octane could significantly boost top speed. I'd pay some for that. As a total non-sequitur, trex, you were plain scary yesterday.
No offense but I dont like it I thin they should leave it as is with the 2 versions, but u can but a str to imrove any stat on the planes. Ie. You can't buy a mg upgrade for p38 b/c it's full but maybe a star on handling. Of course I don't know of that causes logistical issues for sgn's end Good try though shern

I'm sorry shern, but I don't like that idea either. I do know that a lot of people are complaning in the iTunes reviews about not getting the 9 planes. Apprently there are a lot of stupid people out there who can't read the product description or are just not smart enough to realize they have to play the game to unlock these planes. Also I see a few people complaning that they aren't good enough to win the packs to unlock the planes. I think they should just give these idiots there planes upfront. No unlocking.... with one exception. I think they need to do something to encourage vets who have a lot of planes to buy the thing. I think they should create a special one of a kind plane that is equil to the zero III that you can unlock by beating dogfight 99. I think a lot of us here would apricieate the oportunity to own an exclusive kick ass plane, that everyone knows takes some skill to get. That to me would make the price of the BoB worth it, to have a crack at an exclusive plane. Nothing major, but I think if they just focused their energy on getting people to buy the BoB, hopefully that could go a long way for them.

Can't always connect on wifi? Anyone out there had the problem of not always being able to connect when using wifi? I can play at home real well using wifi but here at work (during lunch break, of course) I get "Failed to connect." warning. Thanks ... Michael

It simply because u're not connected to the outside wifi, even though your iphone showed u are. One way to check is to go to the speed test website in my signature below and test the connection speed. It should read more than 50kbps to have a decent game.

Yes - it's tricky - I am in a steel building so I have no phone reception but I know wifi works because I can load regular web pages through wireless - my speed test is up at 170 or so which is good - but in sofg I get the "failed to connect" if I try to join a room. Sounds like a iPhone bug! Michael
