Got the update but the servers still seem to be down. No rooms appear and it fails to connect when I create one. I'm going back to bed.

 

There is always a description for the update. What does it says?

 

Under "What's New in Version 2.1" it says, "Fixed several bugs associated with 3G multiplayer matches."

That could mean anything from plane specs to simply smoothing out game play.

That might mean fixing the control issue faced by 3G user. That will be great. But does this mean I've to download the free version because there's no update for the BoB version.

 

I'm wondering if the BoB version had these fixes already or if it's update just hasn't hit apple yet. I'm running both versions on mine shern. Once I had deleted the free version to fix the issues I was having with the BoB version, I downloaded the free version again. Both versions were crashing on me. I hope this fixes that. I don't think it coinsedence we got this update and the servers are down. How much you want to bet this is about the 10 player game thing. I hope though that some of our planes will fly faster when they come back online

 

Sound cool! Did you find it on eBay? The zoom lens I found was the one that always got the most use.

Yep. It happens every now and then. The longest time happened just before the release of version 2. It was down for about a day that time. It has been down several hours now, so it might be a while.

Shern, download the free version and then try playing the squrimish mode. Somethings different. I don't notice any changes in firepower, none of the planes are any faster, however it seems to run smoother. Not only that the planes seem a bit more peppy to me some how. They all seem a tad bit more manuverable to me. Even the tempest seems more manageable. I was having fun with the p-38. I didn't like the p-38 before! My sensitivity on my controler is set about the same in both versions. Something seems differnt.. Subtle but better. Can anybody else notice a difference?

 

Let me know if things seem any differnt in any of the planes in online play

 

I haven't download the free one yet but I tried my BoB version:
Firepower of Yak3 and Zero3....checked. No change.
Play in Winter map to test control....checked. Control is perfect in 8 player FFA. No weird control issue. It's fixed.
Play in Plain map, also used to be one of the worst maps for 3G....checked. Full 8 player and still no control issue!

Dang! SGN really has fixed the control issue for 3G iPhone user. Now we can play in all the maps and no need to keep surfing in Ocean. NeLge u hear that?

This drop down one reason for me to upgrade to 3GS and it's the major reason.

Ok. They fix the issue just on time before I went to trade in my iPhone and upgrade my phone plan to get 3GS. So I'm not getting the 3GS but to wait for the HD. But I really have to slow down after passing GN-0000...oops, I mean passing 200,000.

 

Well that sounds like a major fix then I'm glad you have normal play once again! I wonder if they fixed the crashing issue. I guess I might have been experincing some sluggish control myself, because like I said the planes all seem to handle better for me now in squirmish mode.

 

Control feels the same to me. Too soon to tell about crashes and the teleporting-enemy problem.

 

Are u on 3GS or ipod? If u're, then probably u never have a control issue in the first place so u can't feel the different. Teleporting is still there. I just had it. I think this is internet access issue that can't be solved through the server.

 

New multiplayer from SGN, Exo Planet. There's 1v1 and 2v2 online match. Cost $7.

We have started in FAST, and moved to SoG....now is this the time to move on to Exo Planet??!

First batch of people who play this game will have the advantage of claiming the top 10 positions ahead of others!

Edit: Oh! This game is only for iPad and for iphone OS 3.2 which is for iPhone HD and iPad. So forget what i just said. Let's just be down to earth.

 

I'm on 3G. But I did not have a control issue before.

I just played with the P38 for a while. It seemed maybe a little more sluggish than before? Or maybe I am ...

 

I just played one game and it was fine. Seems smoother. Then I played another game to frag limit and I reach that limit in the game didn't crash like it did before.
