Cool, yes I think I've seen the handle Snowhawk before! It's funny how a few friendly rivals get started on this game. I've gone back and forth saying "gotcha" so many times.
I take back my words about SGN not going to change. Their reply to me in fb is that SGN will not change the firepower of Yak and Mosquito to be more powerful than Z3. Period. Now I'm suspecting this is what they are going to do: they will lower Z3 firepower to be less than Yak3 and Mosquito such that these 2 planes current firepower will be 5 stars standard. And this will make room for....... the sales of medium to heavy MG/Cannon, which will come inevitably!
Well here are the values on the firepower given to us from Razvan. Compare these to the firepower stats of each plane. Firepowers:: Zero III: 1.42 Yak I: 1.3 Yak II: 1.15 Mosquito I: 1.12 Mosquito II: 1.22 Well they have never said that they have made them deliberately false. What they did say is that they have no plans to upgrade the Yak and Mosquito's firepower. I think that's where Shern is getting that from. Do you have any other info Shern? Also they also say on their facebook page that they will be making changes to the planes. How exactly we have no idea. EDIT: Posted this before I saw your last post shern
Downgrading the firepower on the zero III sounds like the most likely scenario to me as well based on what they have said so far.
Hi Orion! Yes I remember you! Great to see you here. Yes still using rockets and flying the Corsair. I didn't know about the cannons... Finally got online so I can learn more about this game. I initially deleted the app off my phone a week or two ago without backing up my phone and lost some great stats. So hopfully learning how to get cannons will get me back in no time?
Well the stats have gotten reset on me I can't tell you how many times. The good news though is that your kills and points still remain on the server so your online rank is never affected by your stats getting reset. Yes you will be WAY more affective if you switch to the cannons, for many reasons. Reason #1 you can't dogfight with rockets. Most of us here know that all you have to do to take out someone with rockets is to deny them a clear line of sight on you and then engage them at close range. #2 Using rockets forces you to fly in a straight line to line up your shots. You are really vunerable when you fly in a straight line for to long. #3 Keebler really hates it when people nail him with rockets and will chase them down relentlessly for doing so. Um yeah... don't ever piss of Keebler... just ask Hazard! lol Oh and the Corsair is way outdated now since the new update. The zero III is pretty much ridiculous and there is some debate here about using it as it is just that good. The mustang II, the blue Yak are also better than the Corsair. Also some of us use the p-38 and Mosquito as those planes are high in armor and fly really slow. This means that the zero III's have to slow way the heck down to shoot you down, which they can't do if there are other skilled players in the game in Zero III's. Well that's all I can think of right now to get you up to speed and helping you become the bad a$$ I know you can be! I'll be retiring soon in less than a week time when I pass 200,000 score. Retirement means no longer working to maintain at top3 or top10 position but still playing this game leisurely, with my new iPhone 3GS to be getting next week, that will enable me to play with no control issue and can play in all maps. The 4G will be coming to my country 3-6 months after release in US. that will be in winter time (there's no winter in Singapore). That's a long wait for me. But another reason why I'm changing now is because my current iPhone value will drop significantly once the 4G is released.

I love your handle - I lol'd the first time i saw it. But yes, pls do lose the rockets. The cannons don't need recharging like the rockets and they are powerful. Plus, it takes talent to hit something up close and dogfight as opposed to hitting a target from far away. Up close and personal is the most fun And yes, I openly seek revenge on rocketeers - especially those who get me
Well I hope that the buggy experiences with SoG doesn't have anything to do with your decision to upgrade. It makes absolutly no sence to me that they haven't resolved all these bugs yet. I still keep getting random crashes, a ton of people can't fly in anything but the ocean maps now, there is that armor bug in the squirmish mode that hasn't been fixed. They release the BoB bundle package and yet in the meantime the game remains buggy as hell and people can't really enjoy the game the way that they should. It's getting a bit annoying frankly. And also why don't they provide a way for our highscores to be transfered to another device, should it wear out on you or if you have or want to upgrade for whatever reason? It happened to Sola I mean how difficult would it be to incorperate a user name and password stored in the settings of the game used to maintain your online stats?
Actually I would prefer there remain no option for anyone to transfer his point to another device. Otherwise the scores will go on perpetually. When one has a high score and new generations of devices appearing, he has to make a choice to give up the highscore and get the latest gadget, or to keep his highscore and deprived himself of the latest iphone or ipad. Make sense? Reasons why i want to upgrade to 3GS: - I like the white back of the iphone. Looks cool. - Everyone in my company has already upgraded to 3GS. I'm under peer pressure. - The iphone plan provided by my service provider offer unlimited download of many free songs. - By giving up my current iphone and having to restart from 1000 scores will force me to give up the idea of maintaining top10 position or to pursue top10. I realised my grip on the top3 is too tight. I want to let go but can't. I just can't pry open my fingers. The only way to let go is to sell away my iphone and start a new life with a new 3GS. - The control bug will never be fixed. The SoG app has to upgrade itself into more fun and more stuff that will require a faster processor. It shouldn't restrict or limit itself just to cater for the 3G user. It has to move on to 10 players and more features. And players should also keep up by getting better iphones to meet the system optimum requirement for a normal play. Anyway, now I am thinking of a name to put in my current iphone as i won't be able to change anymore soon.
I ended up getting the itunes card last night and buying the zero III and the yak-II and all i have to say is the difference between the corsair that i was flying before and the zero are not even close to the same. I have some money left over on the Itunes card should i get the BoB? like whats the difference with SOG and the new one that came out? should i buy the new one that came out
Should I buy the Z3? Being a noob, and seeing everyone online who is better than me anyway and using the superior plane, I feel like I need to get it now just to be able to compete. But if they are going to adjust the planes I don't want to buy the Z3 just for it to get nerfed. Also, I just feel like it's kind of cheap and not very interesting if everyone just uses the same superior plane all the time...
If online play is all that u want, u have everything by having the Z3. There's no need to get the BoB version.
Yes. Get one, for your own good. The Z3 is not gonna to be adjusted. It's just my speculation. SGN loves the Zeros. It's obvious. So get the Z3 and make yourself competitive. Yes, everyone will just use this plane. Kinda boring but that's life.
Yeah well now after buying the zero III you now know why I was so impressed with how you were playing in the Corsair The BoB version is probably a great deal for someone like yourself. You will get all the packs and all the bundles. You can also unlock 9 new planes by flying though the missions. Some planes you get are ok others kinda suck, but it is still a great value. The following is the list of planes you get acording to Razvan (the lead programer of SoG and he who gives us all the nifty new planes) Keep in mind that if you just want to breeze though and unlock your planes just set the campain difficulty way down. This won't work for the Dogfight missions though. If you ever unlock that red yak you are a total bad a$$ and honestly I think people who buy the BoB and win the 99th dogfight should be given an exlusive plane equil performance wise to the red zero. The red yak ain't such a great plane for doing something that I am aware of only three people doing (myself, shern and swordfish) Just my humble opinion! hehe... Of course I haven't done it in the BoB yet.. These are the planes unlocked by completing the missions. You start with P40 Brown. The tutorial unlocks P40 Black. Mission 1 from War Games unlocks Focke-Wulf Blue Mission 3 from War Games unlocks Tempest with Camouflage Mission 5 from War Games unlocks Mosquito I Mission 7 from War Games unlocks Messerschmitt BF 109 Mission 10 from War Games unlocks Hien Green Then in dogfights: Dogfight 50 unlocks Zero Green Dogfight 75 unlocks Mustang White Dogfight 99 unlocks Yakolev Red
Wow, what the heck are these planes? I have only unlocked up to the tempest, but I can't find any of these others on the market...Are they planes that can't just be flat out bought? Maybe I can't buy them because they are already installed on my app but just waiting to be unlocked. I'm reading about these bugs you guys mentioned and I haven't experienced any of them so far. Is it possible that they cleaned them up for the BoB app but somehow haven't updated the main app? That wouldn't make much sense, I guess.
