I feel the same way about the Mosquito. They both do the same job well I would still like to see the Yak with it's true firepower though.
Well you have that technique down pat now I would say! I find it really hard to shoot you down now! Yes you should try both the Mosquito and the P-38 There really is quite a cool match up developing between pilots who know what they are doing in the respective planes You should try the other end of the equation some as it will only make you better!

I've encountered couple of Yaks with superb firepower. I thought SGN has corrected the firepower so I tested it in private DTB. It's firepower still same. I'm outside now. So later when I'm back home I will reinstall BoB SoG and check the yak firepower.
I created private ocean map DTB rooms with the z3, p38 and mossie. In all three the reticle turns red and the aircraft carrier started taking damage just before the escort ship's bow is reached. Therefore I would conclude that there's absolutely no difference in range between the three (unless SGN has created a fixed damage line in DTB for cannon/MG? I doubt it because the rocket is effective from any range).
Well if I am just imagining the long range firepower, that would be such a cool element for the developers to add. Were there any other fighters with nose mounted guns?
Cool you got an Ipad! So is it everything it was made out to be? I figured that SoG would be hard to play on it.

Chuck Norris dont play with iPad. He tied his ipod to the front cockpit panel of his F16 jet that he bought from USAF as his hobby collection and fly into the sky and play SoG, using his F16 flight movement to control his plane in the SoG, and won 300 kills while other 7 players are at 0 kill in less than 1 hr. Man, I'm becoming a CH fanatic! Hazard sure has some influence on me. WWCHD?
Hahaha. Are you anxious about no play of me with SoG? I have not playing SoG for several days. I enjoyed another hobby for these several days. (Fishing and baseball) My mind and body were refreshed by doing so. They are the need for my life. And, I also return to SoG. To enjoy the fight of you and the expert

It's just some awnsers take a little while to figure out. 38 minutes ago Tell him he has to delete the free version of SoG off his ipod first, then go back into SoG BoB and then restore his purchases. That's what I had to do. It took me a while to figure that one out. I even sent SGN an email via their support page and I still haven't gotten an answer back from them. Just saying he might be waiting a while, for them to get back to him, but that's what he will have to do. This is to help someone on the SoG facebook page get his planes that he had bought previously to unlock in the BoB version.

I'm going to see if my wife will go with me this afternoon to take a look at one... I should have enough of my "allowance" saved up for the 16 gig version..... not sure if I will be getting one, but I'm thinking about it. Of course I'm sure all the stores are already sold out. Then again I won't have any money left, so I was wanting to know if it was really worth it. I'm really on the fence about it, is it deserving of all the hype or is it just a glorified ipod?
I agree. But the notion about gun position is that the fire from nose guns will remain concentrated out to maximum range, while the fire from wing guns will diverge because of the harmonization. As I said, I have no reason to think that this is done in the game - it would be pretty sophisticated. But it would explain the observations of those who find the P38 and Mosquito to be especially effective long range killers.
i'd wait for the new iphone, which should be out in the summer. no front facing camera on the ipad is a deal killer for me. heavy rumours about the next iphone having that feature. would be neat for web conferencing. plus, you know it will have a faster processor than the ipad and that will make the SOG experience that much better lol
btw, I might just be stuck in #12 for a long, long time. I was under 500 kills to reach #11, but then the nice weather came to Canada and there's no way I was going to be stuck inside playing SOG DOH! And that probably goes for the rest of the spring and summer. Our igloos will be melted by now so once I come out of my cookie making tree, it's time to stretch the little legs and be active. Regarding the planes, I've tried the P38 (not the mosquito) and the thing that bothers me (in difference from the Z3) is speed! I can't handle moving at what feels like a slug's pace. I've become so accustomed to flying 1 way with the Z3 (and other fast planes) that I feel somewhat lost in the 38. I might try it again at some point, but for now, I shall remain a dedicated Z3 flyer. btw, someone in a P40 raked the heck out of me this morning. He got me 3 times in a row quickly - 1 in h2h which I couldn't figure out. The other 2 i'm sure were what I call "crow's kills" - meaning he got me when I was already heavily damaged - much like a crow picking up road kill. I made him/her pay for it though with some revenge! GG this morning Capt Fear. That was fun. btw, is it sadistic to watch the Arrgghhs come up when you shoot down another pilot a few times and/or finish their almost-kills for them?
