Just picked up the Battle of Britain Premium app/bundle or whatever. The game is really excellent from what I've seen so far. I was surprised by how high quality the graphics and plane movement are. Definitely looking forward to getting into it some more!
New Battle of Britain app If I have the original app and bought the campaigns, is it worth it for me to buy this new app? And how are the limited time bonuses it is supposedly coming bundled with accessed?
Glad you like it. It'll get your feet wet in the game for sure. I'm new to it too, except for playing the free version. I really like the audio in the game as well as the graphics.
If you have the campains already then it might not be worth your while to get it. I bought it thinking there was the possibility they might have included new content, but sadly they did not. You might find it worth getting because it does come with nine planes right now, that you can "unlock" by playing the missions. I have already unlocked them all and I have posted this info already, but here is what I unlocked and how I unlocked them. SoG Battle of Britan With purchace: Hein II. Heck yeah! I just played a game in the multi-player for the first time, unlocked the Fockewulf-II first and I didn't expect to compete but I thought hey, why not give it a try...well it was awesome! Probably the best multi-player I have seen! Very cool that you can make quick swipes to "chat" different things...and I noticed the planes really display damage! At the end of the match I was flying with half of one of my wings blown off. Wow, I'm blown away by this game! Edit: Question--what are "Godlikes" in multiplayer?
Hobo, I had bought the BoB version hoping their would be new content in it but there wasn't. Now today I see this on their facebook page! Skies of Glory Hi Frank and Lawrence, if you already have all the in-app purchases for the original Skies of Glory game then there is currently no substantial difference between Skies of Glory and Skies of Glory: Battle of Britain. We will be adding more content to Skies of Glory: Battle of Britain soon. Yeah! I am having an issue though with it and I am hoping perhaps you or shern or keebler could ask them there for me. It's not unlocking all my plane purchases. Could you ask what I need to do to get this resolved. I'm running both vesions right now, do I need to delete the free version then hit restore or or what. I have already emailed their tech support, and have so far gotten no reply. It seems that they only communicate via facebook these days. Also the $64,000 question I'm sure all of us are wondering is... What's the new content going to be? Planes, missions, what???? I am so not feeling quite so bummed now for buying this after hearing that new content part now!
I'm actually a bit ticked at the new version b/c I think there are some bugs they need to fix (ie. Like getting kicked out of a kill count game) I'd rather they keep adding content and planes to this version. Of course they might and I hope they do, but it's evident from this board that they've confused both existing and new customers by making a new version * Granted, we're not privy to their overall plans, but it doesn't make complete sense to me.* I do like the fact they've offered planes as a thanks for purchasing. * They didn't have to do that.* My question is regarding online play for the new BOB version - if u play online, do you combat current and BOB pilots or just the BOB pilots? *If it's the latter, it will force us to buy the new version
Oh man that bugs me so much... You fly right in front of them and they cannot shoot you! You zoom past them and slow down in front of their crosshairs and they still cannot shoot you! ARGH!
The Godlikes are simply pictures of CHUCK NORRIS flying around with his hang glider, shooting bottlerockets out of his bung-hole and killing the ninja-elf. They really are just a saying when you get on a killing spree. I think you will see: great shot, excellent, unstoppable, Hazard's the best and finally- Godlike. Until you get killed you will see the godlikes
Yeah I agree with you Orion (when do we ever disagree!) I fly most of the time in the Mustang II now. It is way to easy at the moment with the noobs and every time I get in an interesting game real life seems to cut it short ARGH! I feel asleep playing SoG the other night I was finding it so easy shooting down noobs!
I want to warn you against a FFA room which tries to scam harmless players. The room was named "kill NeLge". So I said to myself: "Oh what a nice and rare opportunity... let's do it." I thought that there will be at least 3 to 4 NeLges to shoot at. But as I entered the room I saw, that there was only one NeLge for all other seven players. And it was getting worse. The one NeLge was not willing to get shot at all! He was shooting other planes and was ignoring the players who wanted to shoot him. He didn't even slow down his plane and so it was nearly impossible to get him. So I tried my best and as I finally killed him, his plane was already used, full of bullet holes and smoking a lot. So I was very disappointed and the fact, that I got shot myself by other players and NeLge, was not making the situation better. Ok.. now, after telling you the whole story, I feel finally better. GG NeLge

It does sound to me that there will be content added of some kind to the BoB version that will not be avalable in the free version. What this is I have no idea, however after having purchaced everything in the free version, and buying now the BoB version, I hope it would be a free update. It would be fair to offer whatever it is for sale in the free version to keep the old customers happy, so they don't have to buy content twice like I just did. I can go online with the BoB and see the highscores and my highscore shows as highlighted in red under both versions. I can set both versions to different names and what ever version I open will change the name accordingly on the servers. I can also see all the same games, I just haven't played online with it yet because none of the planes I want to play with are unlocking at the moment. I would say I am 99.9% certain that you can play with all the players, both on the free and BoB versions. I want to play online with the BoB because I am curious to see if the bugs have been fixed in this version..... but again, I can't unlock all my planes and I am also worried about messing up my highscores somehow playing both versions. So if someone could be so kind as to ask them these questions on my behalf I could let everyone know if the bugs have been fixed or not in the BoB version. If I don't hear something soon my plan is to delete the free version and then hit the restore purchses option in the BoB. The more I think about it, the more it makes sence that this is what I need to do. It have been nice though to let people know what steps they need to take to unlock all their previously purchased content in the BoB version.
this is a godlike. You maybe got already some "excellent"... You get them when you kill planes in a row... godlike is kind of the highest award you can get. We in this forum are all the time flying like this...
