you are our heroe, orion... I only read the information on the fact sheet. It's nothing new. It's kind of a new package for old stuff. It does not make sense. Maybe it's only cheaper for beginners to buy a full package, they don't have to think about which module they should buy if the buy all of it in this package. But selling the same product in different packages does not make sense. At least not for the customers they already had. I miss new features.
It would be nice if you would warn you before you buy it: "they products you want to buy you already have installed" this would be fair.

Yes it would! I plan on playing it in offline mode and seeing what planes you get for each achievement. I will post that here so new players know what planes you can get for free. Starting off you get the white hien, the grey BF and the stock p-40. Could somebody ask them on their SoG facebook page what playing the two different versions might do to my highscores on their servers? I would get the online acheivements as well if I know it's not going to mess with things for me. I'm suprised the developers seem to be totally AWAL here and on their facebook page, right after this release.

I find the mustang holds up pretty well against most z3's but it starts to get quite tricky when i meet someone like you, nice! <?> good work compiling that data, I think the 1000+ day was when I played as my other alias and cancelled all friendly agreements I have! Do you have the death data as well?
I'm not positive but I think app developers have a limited number of product spots that are available in the iTunes store and over time are forced to consolidate their products before adding new ones. Based on what the "premium" version offers it seems like that may be the case here. It's a good deal for beginners but sucks for guys like Orion and Shern who've paid for everything already. I'm surprised guys like them haven't been rewarded with something for their loyalty and devotion. I paid $0.99 for the base game in January of this year and then bought the corsair and the dogfight bundle and that's it. It seemed like only two weeks later SGN dropped the prices on everything and since I bought the products at the original price I was rewarded the white Hien-II. Maybe they will reward the guys who've bought everything with something new once that something new comes out.
That would be nice of them to reward us with something cool. I doubt they will though. I doubt they will give me a refund, I did risk it when buying the premium version. It's only lunch money really, and I do belive in suporting the devs.... still though it would seem I got nothing really for my money, and that is somewhat dissapointing. In the meantime I will just keep unlocking planes. It would be nice though to get an answer about my highscores playing two seperate versions of SoG. Here is what I got so far all you new players. Have u guys tried Angry Birds? It's really more fun than single player SoG. It's not any flight sim but a simple game of shooting birds on pig and some strategy involved.
orion, what do you think about the mosquito? For me I prefer the BF in FFA rooms, the mosquito is to lame, in the furball with red zeros you are lost... But big distance, h2h and against fast attacks from front it's a cool plane...
I actually bought Angry Birds a few days ago after seeing you mention it here on TA. I was on vacation for the past two weeks and it was impossible to find a reliable wifi connection good enough to play SOG so I tried it out. So far I've completed every level in each of the themes. Now I just need to go back and get three stars in each level. Yeah, it's a lot of mindless fun and thanks for the recommendation.
I'm really liking it! It has the 5 star armor and the 5 star firepower. I think that the firepower is correct now, as I can shred though planes real easy. It's like a buzzsaw actually. P-40's don't have a chance, I can line those up fire a 1 to 2 second burst, and feel so confident that it's going down, I can line up the next target. You are right it is not so good in a furball, or if a zero 3 has managed to engage you in a dogfight. But with the armor I have a chance to zoom out of the furball and start picking off planes. Still though I find it way more manuverable than the p-38's and really the only two planes that are giving me trouble in a furball are the Yaks and the zero 3's. It's excellent at h2h's... better than any plane. In my opinion, it's worth having. Gunning down zero three's from afar knowing they had no idea what just hit them, is great fun! So yeah I honestly feel it's the only plane out right now that has anything over the zero 3. You just have to adapt to it a little bit.... then things become great fun!
Lol ... actually, Shern has been saying some wierd stuff lately ... stuff I have'nt heard him talk about before ... he goes off topic alot too and talks about love and stuff ... and he expresses his inner thoughts and feelings ... An I noticed it ever since China Girl came on the scene
I can't complain about SGN... they have given me hours of entertainment for only a few pounds. 2 hours at the cinema would cost me around £6, a video for a couple of hours £2-£12 depending on release date etc... A computer game would cost me from £5-£40. SoG is not expensive and for a newbie £3.99 seems good, even if you only play it for a couple of hours... At the end of the day it is only lunch money Bit of a bummer for Orion considering you have it all already! I am sure as with past experience (free Hein II) SGN will reward you for being a faithful customer... I HOPE!
