The premium version of Skies of Glory expands upon the Free version, with these additional features: * 95 Additional dogfight missions. * Support for local WiFi and Bluetooth multiplayer, as well as 3G and WiFi-internet support. * The 'War Games' and 'Battle of Britain' campaign mission packs. * 9 additional planes that can be unlocked by progressing through the campaign and dogfight missions. ========================================================= Is there anything here that's not in the basic version+store? And if you've not bought anything in the free version, is it worth the 6.99 US? Thanks Rixx
Yep I sure as heck did! I look like you can unlock 6 planes by doing the missions and the dogfights, however it looks like I can only unlock planes THAT I ALREADY OWN!!!! I am unsure now if they mean it has 100 dogfights or 200. Oh well, I guess someone had to take one for the team..... guess that someone was me! Interestingly enough though under high scores on the server it is still showing me as #9. I don't think I will play it with the stock Hein as I am unsure if that will mess that up for me! Hopefully SGN will shed some light on this, as if you already bought a few planes, it seems kinda dumb to buy them all twice!
I can find nothing new that I have not already purchased before! But if you haven't played the game before, and want all the mission packs and the ability to unlock some planes rather than buy them separately, than this would be the version to buy as you can get more stuff cheaper than buying everything separate in the regular version.
It's not bad enough that the presentation I was working on for the last 90 minutes all of a sudden was corrupt, but then when I go to SoG to unwind & get rid of frustrations, who should join the game, right after me, (of course, on the other side), but Origami. Just what I need-- 0:6. Aieee!
Is the MG of the premium version still light? I'm tempted to buy to check out is the firepower of Yak3 is fixed.
Yes the MG is still light. You would have to buy this version for like $7.00 and then spend another $2.00 to find this out. Being though that the stats such as firepower ect reside on the server for multiplayer games, I couldn't see how this would make the firepower of the Yak3 fixed. EDIT: Trust me shern, don't even think about buying this as your like me and already own everything. All you will be is out $7.00!
I'm wondering that the top3 players are Asian has anything to do with the statistic results that showed Asian men spent less time on sex than Americans. I'm just wondering...
You can do that from the battle of Britain pack that you can buy separately! There is nothing new to see here people! It's just the same old stuff repackaged! At least as far as I can tell that's all it is.
Ok, so, as a newcomer who has tried the lite but spent nothing at all on DLC, this new app has everything that you can get via DLC? If yes, I think I will pick it up. If no and it has more DLC that needs purchasing, I will pass.
Yes but you can get them cheaper in the long run as it includes all the separate packs plus you can unlock like 9 of the planes by playing though the missions and the dogfights ect... just don't ask me what planes it will unlock as I have no idea. EDIT: It does not unlock all the planes as there are a total of 25 now.
ahh. Yes I haven't bought the battle of britain. Taking off of an aircraft is not really exciting at all if it's like taking off of the airfield in one of the first regular missions. I just thought it was kinda weird that I hadn't seen that before.
Well, that's a no go for me then. Thanks for warning me! So if one were to buy all the content this game has to offer, what would the final price tally? I seem to remember initially it was something like $15.
Originally, at launch it was $28. I'll assume its a good bit more than that now, with 25 total planes and new campaign to buy.
Holy crap. I've noticed this thread has a pretty devoted following, so for those who are really into the game--is it worth that?
You sure don't have to buy all the planes. I'd get one or two planes with high specs so you can be competitive online. If you want to be able to play without being online, get a mission pack. If you dig the stuff, then you can get more planes and/or more missions. How much you spend is up to you. A couple bucks on a plane makes you competitive online (once you get your skills up).
