new adventures of the Sgarrista Air Brigade I made some more pics... would be nice to make some movies (@ lance) http://forums.toucharcade.com/album....pictureid=2978
yes they are fun and they are good for the skill. Shooting at ground targets has to be learned. When you get it, you fly better than before. And it's fun. Ground targets don't move but are hard to get too. You learn not to be to close to shoot.
For Lance please give us a big city with high houses to hide behind, and huge bridges ad buildings to fly through. would be nice to crash some glass. and then, when you have the big city, you also sell a game with tanks in a big city, which make the same as we do in SoG... shooting each other. then mix the two games. tanks vs tanks, planes vs planes, tank vs planes, tanks & planes vs tanks & planes... the possibilities are huge...
When I was a teen I used to play this online PC tank game, called smtg like tenacity. It works like SoG ie when u got killed u will be spawn again and again. It's as fun and addictive as SOG. it's all team play and each team will have to get flag from opp team. They are different types of tanks with different capabilities. One tank can even become invisible but it's armour and firepower is weaker. There are buildings with ramps for tanks to go up to rooftop for sniper position. And u have to pay money to get better tanks and better weapons. And people do not mind buying those. I never buy better tanks and just use default tanks to play. The game is free.
Lancer, I have a question. Currently our scores are tied to our device ID right? If I want to change my iPhone, can I request through the SGN support website to transfer my SoG data to my new iPhone ID so that I can still continue playing with my current scores?
Lance/Shern, That is # 4 in my list, under General Gameplay: 4. Allow a player to log in as himself from any iPod Touch/ iPhone. This way if you have to share your iPod with your brother/sister/son/wife/whatever, you can still log in as yourself and play. Also, if you get a new iPod, you can bring your player name and account with you. What if I'm at my nephew's house and I want to hop on using his ipod? I can simply log into my account of Frumius for online play... I'd have to have access to my planes when online, though. But we all used computers, right? You can rig that up for us I am certain; it's what computers are good at. That is a crucial thing. I play on my son's iPod touch, and I intend to get one myself -- and I want to bring my stats with me. It's crucial! Crucial! By that I mean it's of critical importance! Seriously, I want that capability very much. To tie an identity to a specific device is ridiculously constraining. I also play on my wife's iPod touch, but I can't use my main identity on it because there's no way to log in as myself. Please make this possible. I want to be able to use my Frumius account wherever I happen to be, on whatever iDevice I have in hand. Lance, thanks for being so responsive to us here in the forum. Your participation with your customers is very, very welcome and makes me feel good about your game and your level of concern. Much appreciated.
is the online play still free. not sure how i missed this game.. the prices seem high for the downloads, iv read through the whole thread. and i did not see when the online play would not be free. so thought id ask. chris.
It's free, chris, not sure when it won't be free. I completely recommend getting a new plane though -- the Corsair is excellent and cheap, the Zero is good, the BF109 is good. If you stay in the stock P40 you'll be chewed up in no time.
Has anyone ever tried exploring during a Multiplayer campaign? I decided to fly off and follow the road for a while when I got this message: Sure enough, a few seconds after ignoring the message, I mysteriously "crashed". A lesson for any curious folk out there.
Crashed? That's a disappointment! I thought I'd be shot down for it. I've always gotten scared seeing that message and turned around Don't want to hurt my Kill Ratio for frivolous frolics!
I had this too. Once in the snowy mountains. I was flying and flying.. ind there far away was the crowd... then I got this message... I turned and saw another crowd circling... ok.. I fly and fly... towards the crowd.... same message again: go back to the battlefield. I quit the game. It never happened again.
The corsair is cheap? In switzerland it's the most expensive one. The cheapest is the messerschmitt (BF)
Yeah, they said I would be shot down, so why didn't they shoot me? Instead, they must have installed some kind of remote self-destruct device in my plane that they can activate at will. Just who's the real enemy anyway?
heh hmm. well i tried the game. all i can say i suck. i tried the on line play and got shot down 10 times, and not even one kill said heck with this. i do not see buying a plane helping me.. i just fail at such a game my guess is you will end up having to pay 5-10 bucks a month for online play after they you hooked which i could see hapenning. i could see it being fun if i could get a kill. lol, i sure got the hang of bailing out. also how did you guys echo the commands? i saw no place to say anything in the game. good luck guys, im gonna pass on this one. however, i will give some suggestions to the devs. give the throttle a slider. the buttons suck for fat fingers. so if you are suppose to slow down to make a kill.. i can not cause i have to dedicate mind power and take my eyes of my target to making sure i touch the button just right, by then im dead. lol also id like to see a N,w,s,e on the radar.. so i know which direction im flying. or maybe i just suck that bad.. but i guess dose not really matter. have fun chris. p.s if the reason for no slider is for the boost. well just lower the thror\tel and a single button at the top for a boost. and have the slider slide down to the appropriate percentage of throttle it is like now. when you use the boost using the buttons. and if you are worried about upsetting people already use to this style of throttle.. just make it a option.. see, everyone is happy. LOL
I recommend trying the single player dogfights to give you more combat practice. You get the first 5 dogfight missions free and you can play them as many times as you want. It still takes lots of practice in the multiplayer missions. I have over 1000 kills now but also over 700 deaths .
hmm all i saw that was free was the training and no missions. ill look again after the ipod chargers.. grr stupid batteries. chris.
