Keep in mind that the down button currently does not control the throttle, it lowers the flaps to slow you down. Check your plane when you press it. So you still might want a flap control in addition to a throttle control to slow you down faster.
It seems as if it also reduces throttle, for in order to speed up again you have to hold the Up Throttle button until the RPM's max out again. If it were just flaps, you wouldn't have to hold it down. That's my theory, only a theory. Aircraft Speed control idea: It would be really nice to have both the throttle slider (as in Mosquito's suggestion and as in FAST) as well as a flap up, flap down button. Perhaps the buttons could be above and below the throttle slider ( which should be nearly invisible!), respectively. Having flaps in addition to throttle would really allow you to slow down fast, providing extra control. I added it to my list from a few posts ago: 6. *** Flap controls that are separate from the above throttle slider; Up Flap button could be above slider, Down Flap button could be below it. This would really give some more control to the plane and be another level of skill to master.
wow, cool.. I did,t know that. As long as it slows down i don't care how the plane does it. but why is the engine power going down? Because the flaps make it work harder?
If it's so terribly difficult to finish the dogfights as you said, why does the person who gets all dogfights need a super zero? lol a super pilot in a super zero... who could beat him? I'm stuck at 75 or so.. By the way: can you give me a tip how I get to df 89? I want to see this fast turning plane
I just keep trying until I beat them. I have not discovered any technique to win. If I play df79 again, I will lose. I think it's just keep trying until sometimes luck is on your side. Btw, u get nothing by reaching df89. I am more of trying to find a program bug to beat them, like in FAST I discovered flying low will make them crash, but not in SoG.
If I spend time trying to complete the dogfights, I will lose time to keep my scores ahead of GN, who is now within reach to pass me by just spending half a day to play. I will wait for Lance to reply of there's any reward for completing the dogfights. I can spend whole day and still cannot win df89.
Lance also please include video recording or screen recording in SoG so that we can take some footage and this was an idea from mosquito60, SAB greatest photographer.
Ahh... nothing unlocks from completing dogfights! Dang, I was at least hoping for a machine gun or weapons upgrade from 'light' to something a bit better to give me an advantage in multiplayer. Was a bit disappointed completing the campaign didn't give out any rewards. At least a new plane would be nice.

I have finally completed all 100 dogfights! And i got nothing! Dang! I use Corsair for it's speed and rocket for long distance shot. My last dogfight which is 1v4 with 100% difficulty was pure luck. At start I fired my rocket and managed to down a plane before they start to appear in my radar. Then 2 planes panicked and crash with each other, left one plane for me to kill in h2h with rocket and MG. But I got no reward. No super Zero. Only zero reward.
He catch up while i spend time completing the dogfights. But it's still feel quite good to have the little tick there for the achievements. Edit: It doesn't matter that he overtake me. I still enjoy the game as much by downstroying many players' iphones, ipods, itouchs today.
