Hi Austin (aka Swordfish). I just saw your comment on the facebook page. Absolutely no hard feelings about the game yesterday, which was great. The 10 character limitation for names really makes it difficult to get the message across sometimes Crikey, my poor old mustang just couldn't take the heat! You forced me to go and get the Zero3 out of the hanger, which I really really didn't want to do. I will start a P-38 only room one of these days and that's going to be very challenging against you Ps. Hi China Girl. Austin also says hello to you. He's on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Skies-of-Glory/375251415157) by the way.
I hear they are very therapeutic I tried going in them a few times however when I arrived there wasn't a p-40 in sight. So tell me are the new p-40's allowed, because I think they are cool looking
GG! GG! GG! Adios! Adios! Adios! Sweet game Orion! did you realize that you were flying against me? ydnah[BAS] ---> my tag backwards. At first I tried to avoid shooting at you, but then you downed me and it was game on! It gave me the chance to try out some new maneuvers. Great h2h action!!!
I'm sure this has been asked 1,000 times but this thread is way too huge. Without a lot of fanboyism, are the planes you start out with OK for multiplayer? What is the one single one that would do me good? I've always been partial to P-51's but I know they were kind of a sucky plane for their time...
Technically yes.....but you would be pushing the boundaries just a wee bit i reckon Let's see what everyone else thinks....
Hehe! I should have known!!!! The thought didn't occur to me to look at the name backwards and I was just about to ask who that was! I knew it had to be somebody I knew! Yeah that was fun going mono e mono with ya! That was a blast! I also saw you trying that upside down H2H that was just talked about today... I didn't fall for that one! lol! It was kind of neat though! Oh and I said some weird stuff there for a second cause my finger slipped! I hate it when that happens!
It's just aesthetics anyway... that and I have only taken mine up once. I guess I'm just looking for an excuse to use it EDIT: How about a p-40 I room sometimes then in that case
Dude, you got it all wrong about the P-51. They're widely regarded as one of THE BEST piston engine fighters of all time. For some reason, I don't think they get their due in this game. As for buying a plane, I love the Mustang II, but since the red Zero III came out I have switched to it. It is powerful, fast, and maneuverable. Get that one. No, the stock planes are no good for multiplayer -- they will leave you wondering what hit you. Weak, slow, not maneuverable.
GG! don't worry about getting me - i figured out what you were doing. and i do remember that arggh when i shot down that plane. i felt bad for a half second or so lol it happens to us all so no worries. i argh when ppl do that to me too, but that's the nature of the beast
GG Lav//erd That was intense! At a certain point I decided to kick it up a notch! Still couldn't close the gap on ya! How about that Cotise.. I can't remember his name exactly, but I have seen him around for a while now, he's starting to get quite good!
Origami OUCH, OUCH, IT BURNS, IT BURNS!!!!!!! Why can't I fly in a straight line for more than 2 seconds before you shoot me down? How do you do that??? I have no idea how you do that, I really don't! That was fun though! Great game!
ok guys, the next time you encounter other squads make sure to study them as you fight. then post an Intel Report in the SAB forums. you'll see a post there giving you guidelines in writing a report. and Sgarrista means footsoldier in italian. but i think it's a pretty discreet word cause some of our italian members haven't heard of it. i was going for an ironic name
That's really cool Hobo! All this time I was thinking it was a place! I just googled the word just now and apparently it also means "goodfellow" or "wiseguy".
Frumius is right. If you watch any kind of accurate documentary of WW2. The Mustang was called the Cadillac of the Skies. My grandfather was a WW2 Hump pilot and on his 80th birthday he was given a ride in an authentic P-51. I will never forget the sound of that machine. Beautiful.
