I was wary at first but I downloaded the new update. Then I played one match of 20 kills. Here's my new problems: 1) control is not whacky or wobbling anymore. No choppiness. 2) Planes exploded earlier than what I'm used to when I fired at them. 3) My plane now also exploded earlier such that I have no bailing chance and it's P40 that's shooting at me.
Wait... I wanted the update to make everyone else's planes splode sooner, not mine! Seriously... hmmm. I'm afraid to install the update I downloaded. I was just about to, but it seems real risky given the probs reported by the pilots here. I'm gonna wait. But remember: if you just did the install, the old version of Skies of Glory gets moved to the Trash. It may still be in there, and you can replace the new one with that one. {The moral of the story? The trash is a great place to archive old copies!}
Wow just launched SoG and there was a notice that they are capping the multi to 8 players because of reported latency issues. I don't know if you guys posted this or saw it but just thought I would share.
I just got on with the recent version "Lite," and found the game choppy. Had never happened to me. It wasn't the latent control issue, just choppy. Planes jerked by and my own flying felt as if I were doing it too. I'm syncing right now to get today's 2.0.1 update and see what happens. NPK, glad to see you in the game Since the game was choppy I decided to come out and apply the update to see what that would do.
Yup. It was I who cried and wane the loudest in TA and in SoG facebook. A few others also complained about the wobbling control that's associated with 10player setting. SoG responded fast and revert back to 8 players setting. We really appreciated their quick responds.
update? after reinstalling and restore purchased: If I look in game options/help/credit, I see version 2.0.0 Do you have 2.0.1 after the update?

I just ran across a T.Rex about 15 minutes ago. I made him pay big time for having a name close to mine. There sure are times I'd like to be able to chat in this game.
I just checked the credit. It still shows v2.0.0. And has Lance resigned from SoG? His name no longer inside. Instead the Producer is Shawn who is the Producer for FAST also
Npk, I see you signature planes are still Corsair or Hien. Time to change to Zero-III or Yak-3. I prefer Zero-III now because it can use the Chonch's escape technique.

I just downgraded to the lite version and still choppy... plus I had to upgrade the O.S because the ipod wouldn't sync... then after doing that the ipod wouldn't play music anymore! So now I am restoring it from scratch... All 45Gigs of it... ARGGGGG!!!!!
