Hello to everyone on TA! I'm glad you guys like my bail out technique. I was worried some might think it's bad sportsmanship or something. Once I realized players could still score a kill after you've bailed I just thought it made sense to prevent the easy win. I only started doing it after I bought the new Zero. I don't think the Corsair-II or Hien-II that I used before the update had the power to leave the swarm and make it to safety. For guys using slower planes I've seen players use a different and effective strategy where they pull into a tight diving corkscrew and then stall it. Usually the faster plane on the chase can't react fast enough and by the time the offensive plane can stall and line up a kill shot the defensive plane has already regenerated.
Oh well hey there buddy! I really have fun when your around! Love your bail out technique, it's brilliant actually and I have started doing it myself Hehe, what did you think of our little mono e mono the other day, when I was in a p-40? I bet you weren't expecting me to stick around in that were you?
What are you talking about? Yes Canada was a british colony but so was the U.S.! I can tell you Shern, Keebler would prefer to see a new mustang Oh what I would also really like to see is a better Corsair, as I have fond memories of one from my childhood. In Charleston, the USS Yorktown is anchored and she has been converted to a museum. Not the one from the Battle of Midway mind you that one was destroyed at the battle of Midway. This one was commissioned after that and fought in WWII shortly thereafter. Anyway, when I was in the boy scouts we had a Jamboree on the thing, and slept over.. I got to play in the Corsair, it was cool! I always visit the Yorktown whenever I am on vacation in Charleston. Can't seem to find any pics that are digital at the moment. So google earth will have to do
Hi welcome! Well the most important thing to get is a better plane. The blue Yak is perhaps the most balanced at the moment. The Red Zero is the fastest and most maneuverable and I'm using that one for now. Also the Grey mustang is great, as well as the White Hien. Pick one of those, first and foremost. I like the mission packs, the first one is pretty hard at the end actually, so if you want a challenge get that. If not then the Battle of Britain is nice. I would recommend the skirmish mode really, as that's the best way to practice and learn dog-fighting techniques when you can't get online. You don't need the multiplayer bundle to play online, that's really only good for bluetooth.
You're definitely my favorite player to clear a FFA room with and your reply a while back to Keebler's post regarding who I was was dead on. I just started playing multiplayer around March 5th or so and found this forum the same day looking for tips because I was getting annihilated. I was in a Corsair using rockets thinking they would give me an edge or something and the best I could muster was a 1:1 KD ratio up to the 200k/200d mark. I realized I must be doing something seriously wrong since some guys in the top ten have ratios over 5:1 so I switched to guns and have been doing pretty well since. You're the first player I noticed consistently using the in-game messaging system solely for the purpose of being polite and a good sport and it made me start using it more (probably too much). btw: NeLge is the bane of my existence. Easily the most dominant player I've come up against.
No, don't get the multiplayer bundle, unless you have a bunch of friends nearby who you can play with over bluetooth. You can already play wifi or 3G multiplayer with out that bundle. See Orion's suggestions above for planes. Hey, Chonch, welcome to the club What is the technique in question? Somehow I missed that. Is it speeding away before bailing? I tend to try to dive before bailing. Oh, how'd you find us?
Orion (a few pages back) yea that room would have been happy hunting for both of us if it wasn't so jerky for me! Trex, cheers buddy, you're one of the guys it's always good to be in a room with! gg chonch, really good to see you've found ta- same with you, your technique is really good head to head, I usually try and follow you but you're good at getting away!! It's obviously made an impression as I've seen a few other people do it recently! I sometimes do it as well now but usually just bail quickly if I'm racing to catch someone in kill count. You must have a very good kdr! Sola and itu - great game earlier!
Hmm... Good point! I was thinking of re-designing my Sig but was holding out afew weeks to see if they release a 'Seafire III' Maybe they'll give us a Mk 7... or even cut to the chase an release a Mk 21 - Tougher armour, Acute handling, 5 blade propeller config and an upgraded Rolls-Royce for Higher speeds and 2x2 20mm Brownings... Grrrrrr ! We'll be back in business ! Coz at the minute that other red imposter with white stripes is kicking my azz
I've read the posts and I've started focusing on those players. The only player I see on a regular basis is ":" and he's actually pretty good. Of course, would he be as good with an easier to see name? So yeah, I agree with the "war" and feel that I've joined it. In a way I've done the same with players who use rockets. I used them as a noob and switched because I was unable to be competitive and I feel the best way to convert players is to be relentless in pursuing them with guns.
Haha, just seen this, you are going to be hitting alot of peoples monster list in the near future if they havnt seen you! Especially if you've only been on this month!
Oh well thanks, yeah I try to let people know when I think they are doing a good job, and it's just better to try and be nice, I sometimes feel bad annihilating noobs, it must be discouraging for them, so I try my best to play nice with everybody I can't really recall that conversation with Keebler off the top of my head, would you be so kind as to refresh my memory? You know what? We all probably start off using rockets! I know I did! Yeah NeLge is superhuman!
Yeah, sorry. I realized after I submitted it that it probably needed more clarification. This was the post I was referring to.
Hi Chonch, Welcome to TA! I just tried Zero III and use your technique by speeding away when at bailing state, works brilliantly, simply too brilliant. How you come out with this idea? Sorry that I'm the one who saw your technique and share to everyone here. Hehe. To those who miss the my previous post on Chonch's bailing technique, here's how: - works only on Zero III. it's the fastest plane at 640km/hr for max crusing speed. Yak-3 is 600km/hr while white hien is 590km/hr. - once the bail signal is up, break out from the furball and boost away as far out as possible. Once u are at safe distance by looking at radar, bail out straight ahead. Your plane will still move at very fast speed ahead after u bail out.
I think of it as 'doing a chonch' now and it is catching on isn't it. By the way hi chonch. I think we may have crossed paths a few times
