Hehe! I was learning quite a bit from you too! So you have been shot down by bosh a few times as well I see He's a pretty decent player and a great sport. He used to only fly around in a Tempest and I though he was the best Tempest pilot around
I'm using a 3G 16GB iPhone. As Frumius mentioned a page or two before, the storage capacity of the phone is not the issue. The likely problem is the lower processor speed and RAM of the 3G (620MHz/128MB) compared to the 3GS (833MHz/256MB). In particular this problem seems to only affect iPhone users and not 2nd gen iPod Touch users because the iPods have the same processor and RAM specs of the 3G but do not share those resources with a phone application / hardware. Anyways that's my layman's opinion. Hopefully SGN can shed some light on the issue.
Still got 3 or 4 hours to go before I can test out Austin's report (and get back into the top 10)....but I expect to find the problem still there like you just said.
But GN0000 said his 3G 16GB is fixed. GN0000, is yours really fixed? Is your control acting normally even in crowded rooms??

There was no problem though there were ten players in the room. I tested it by 3G. There is no problem before at all now.
I examined free memory. The process of Safari, ipod, and mail was started, and it played with SoG. Then, free memory has decreased to 7M. However, the problem was not brought up to operate. I think the memory of iPhone 3G to be operation of SoG without trouble.
Just tried again at work with a good internet connection. Still experiencing the same problems in a room with lots of players. Someone please give me the game servers IP address so I can try to ping/traceroute it. If it's not hardware than maybe's it geographical
I've tried this, I've tried that, I've tried whatever that is within my imagination to fix the control issue. None work. And I wouldn't want to play the game with such whacky control. It's unrealistic to fly in such a manner too. I can't touch the game anymore. The only thing I can do is to wait till the release of 4G. In whatever case, that's the end of Shern with score permanently freezed from now onwards. And by the time I got hold of 4G, the top10 will be so high that it's not possible to catch up from scratch. So much for spending time to build up my scores to my current level, and the update comes in to end my stay in top10. And so much for spending money to buy every purchaseable item in SoG and I can't even enjoy a single game now. Vanity oh vanity, all thing is vanity. I only got myself to blame. The very thing that I've been waiting for with great anticipation becomes the very thing that ends my life in SoG: the update.
Oh, horrible irony. I hope it is something that can be fixed before you get a new phone in a bunch of months.
Shern, I've got a copy of SOG 1.0 (SkiesOfGlory 1.0.ipa) if that helps? I could upload it somewhere... just drag n' drop into apps folder... sorted-ish? Least you could play the original for a bit?
Shern, don't fret buddy! I am sure they are working on it! It's in their best economic interests to do so! Still though it would be nice and for your sake and the sake of others, to at least hear SOMETHING from them in regards to this issue! Just be patient with them, it has to be frustrating for them as well, and it probably isn't an easy fix, but I have to believe they will get this resolved here soon!
unless shern authorizes his computer with your account, it won't play. that really sucks shern. i thought you said you liked the controls now. i really hope SGN fixes this! by the way random, shall we move players with names like "*", ".", or "-" etc. to Defcon1?
