Buggy scorekeeping I'm coming to suspect that scorekeeping is at least partly broken since the update. My pilot screen score hardly ever changes any more, and my top 10 (actually #33!) score is not accurate. For example, I just played a TP room for a while, got 26 kills, and then when I checked my high score entry it had only given me 8. It recorded all my deaths, however! My pilot screen shows me at 5572/1214, which reflects little or no change since I upgraded. The high score screen shows me at 5763/1265, which is more accurate but at least incorrect based on my last battle. Any other experiences?
Replying to my own post ... I think the problem may be delay rather than inaccuracy. After my last post, I played one kill, checked the high scores, and a bunch of missing kills were now added. The pilot screen is still not changing, however.
Note that the change in kills/deaths shown in the highscores list need at least 5min to be updated from the time u quit the game. Another bug I observed is that I clearly remembered shooting down 5 planes but the inline game list showed only 2.
Is [2ch]V also having the same problem as I have on the control? Because I keep seeing his plane swinging and rolling wildly. But this may be his usual way of flying the plane to make it more evasive.
OK I was wondering what was happining. My online scores are now more than 200 kills ahead of my pilot scores on the iPod. I have more deaths now on the servers as well, however they aren't that much more than on the iPod
EDIT: Sorry now it's about 650 more kills registered online now as opposed to the update. I'm just glad it's not the other way around!
ooops.. so I'm top5? I would be too much effort to chase sola.. and why should I do it? for top3? ... I once was top2 (maybe only some minutes, lol)... top1 is too far away anyway... so I'm afraid to tell you that I problably will accompany Frumius on the way down the score list. Ok.. watching the highscore list... maybe I will take top4 back.. for a while...
I find that there's a certain quiet serenity associated with the anonymity of not being in that list and visible to everyone. It's dreamy. Is this death?
nice... you always find things like this... there is somewhere a house flying in the plains. Could you fly under the flying ship?
Scoring system really off I know some of you have mentioned this but why would the scoring system be so off? i mean I could gain like 30 kills and 2 deaths and it updates some here and some there and the highscore list has something completely different. funny. I also have played yesterday and today and added about 50 kills and jumped 500 slots in the highscore list. I sure wish my kills stayed from when I had my old ipod.
yes.. it's cool to make friends here, because then you can get shot down often without getting angry. I had my hard times with keebler, NeLge, 2ch, Sola and many others ... and I got angry for getting killed again and again... But now I know them, talk to them here in the forum and I know they are good guys.. so I don't get angry anymore, I just realize, that they are faster than me.. And after the game we can exchange jokes...
