That's wonderful! But mine still not working, after many restarts and even re-installing. May be mine is 8G while yours is 16G. Just now I tried playing with my iphone in a filled room and I'm swinging and wobblering left and right, up and down. Then I tried my wife 3GS 16GB, going back to the same room. My control is great and normal. After repeated experiments, I have confirmed that the iphone 3G 8GB does not meet the minimum requirement of the SoG v2 gameplay. I have also confirmed that the rate of killing a plane is correlated with internet speed, up to a certain threshold whereby the killing rate will be saturated. I was using my wife 3GS and control is good. But I kept having good shots on a Corsair and later on a P40. I fired many many times and they just won't blow up. Until the Corsair finally blow up. But this is too abnormal. So I quit and check the speed and find it is at 11kbps! And it's my wifi. And I turn off the wifi and switch to 3G which give me 45kbps. And I was killing planes at my normal rate, but still not as fast as how I observed Origami and Nelge did it. I know that 45kbps is still not enough to reach the optimum kill rate. I need a better 3G speed.
Oh, maybe my memory is wrong. I forgot! Lotta bullets flying around, I lost track Here's my current KDR chart: Current kills: 11508 Current Deaths: 1767 Current Kill Ratio: 6.51 : 1 People are getting a lot better, is all I can say!
In my working place, I got 2 friends with iphones. One is a 3GS 16GB with the same service provider as I am (called Singtel). Another friend also a 3GS 16GB with a different service provider called Starhub. Singtel is my country #1 telcom provider hold a large majority of the market. Starhub is significantly less number of customers. So I got my 2 friends to try the speed test (www.3gspeed.info). My singtel friend got the same speed as I am, which is ~45kbps, while my Starhub friend got 120kbps!!!! Our conclusion is that although both provide same 3G speed stated on paper, ie 7.2Mbps, Starhub will have better 3G performance as it has less people graping the 3G bandwidth. So I have decided to trade in my iphone 3G 8GB and break contract with Singtel, and to switch to Starhub and get their 3GS 16GB 2yr contract plan. This will fix my wobblering control issue and slow firing rate, and should transform me from a small cat into a Monster! Muahahahaha! But, I have to consider whether I should wait for iphone 4G coming in June, and getting new one means my current score will be freezed forever, and I have to start from 1000 score and no way I can enter top10 anymore. Will try to ask the developer if they can re-tie my server account to my new iphone so that I can continue from where I stop.
Hi itu, Welcome to TA! I have watched you play from a small kitten to become a real monster now. Hope u come here often and enjoy the chats with us.
Hi guys! I finally found this forum. Wow, all the top names in the game are here. Finally, I get to have a voice about this game. Does anyone else think that the guys with the null or period or slash for a pilot name should be forced to change their names? It's an advantage for sure. I see mr. null is in the top 20. Anyway, I'm glad to see Lav//erde is here. I consider him a gentleman and a great player. Talk to you all soon!
Good luck, Shern! First, are you absolutely certain that changing service will fix this? It would be an expensive failure if not... If and when you upgrade the phone you will be getting a faster processor; the original iPhone 3G had a slower one than the 3GS and 2nd Gen touch, let alone the current 3rd gen touch. Definitely wait for the next phone rather than getting the current 3GS.
Trex, Itu, welcome to our little group! How did you guys find us? Aye, Trex, I just mentioned the same complaint about the null names about three of my posts ago (this morning). That null guy was all but invisible against some backgrounds.
I googled Skies of Glory SAB . Mr. null has me ticked enough that I'll concentrate on killing him and no one else. I get a big sense of satisfaction when he leaves! Glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't like it.
Hey trex, nice to see you here! It seems we have played in quite a few games together As far as the names go, yes I do agree that it might be considered borderline cheating, however I do give the first guy who thought of that some credit for creative thinking. It used to bother me more than it does now, I think that's just cause I have adapted to it and don't seem to have as hard of a time spotting them as I did before. I always check to see who's in the room and if I see a player like that, I make sure to keep an eye out for them. But yes it does give them an unfair advantage.
Oh, cool, I just tried that search and, yes, this place pops right up! As for the other part -- Fellow Airmen (and Airwomen?), I propose a toast, er, I mean I propose a war on pilots who's names are a single tiny mark (. , - * or [blank]), and raise them in our targeting priority. Eh? I find my anticipation is already rising for my next mission!
Frumius, There's one more thing Í haven't tried and that thing will certainly fix my control issue. Now, how can I forget about this? The solution is just right in front of me! Do you remember you teach us a dance on a stump in our FAST days? I have forgotten the actual procedure. I need to get the procedure correctly. Can u tell me again?
Ori, [SAB]RA is iaf-ace (Israeli Air Force). SOmeone explained that "Sabra" is a word for someone from Israel (I had never heard of this). Gosh, it's been so long since FAST that I may have forgotten the correct procedure! I'll see what I can remember: Ok. In the nude (of course), under the light of a Full Moon (if you can't get one of those, a bright street-lamp will suffice), you must dance upon the top of a stump, hopping on first your right foot going counter-clockwise around the stump, and then on your left foot going clockwise around the stump. It helps to carry a moist toad, and caress it. Chant your wish as you do this, and later you will find that your problems have either been solved or have been left in the past*. Now, I know that's not the same dance as before. But this should work just as well. Edit: About the stump. You may not have very large trees there, but the larger the better. I live with Redwood trees, and I find that what works best is a stump that is about 8 feet in diameter. Do you have any of these? If your stumps are much smaller than 3-feet in diameter (about a meter), you will have to do this dance for a much longer period of time. Yeah, sorry! Oh, and also, if you do use a street lamp instead of the full moon, you'll need a bigger stump, or to spend even more time dancing. The trouble is, of course, that stumps usually don't grow under street lamps. * This could well be a lot later. Ever had a broken heart?
<?>, Congrats on your 6 digits scores!! Now that the 10th position are > 100,000, how will I ever get back to top10 when I change my iphone? Looks like I have to forget about the top10 and at least enjoy the games with normal control.
Well I just competed the battle of Britan pack and being one of the few lucky ones who didn't have to reset my data with the update, I have now officially completed or achived every single last one of the acivements you possibly can in SoG and guess what you get for doing this Shern?!!!! A super mustang with 5 star ratings in every catigory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK no you don't, you get squat! No suprises there
