for me there are three classes of planes.. heavy ones (corsair), light ones (zero) and unusable ones (Tempest, p40) ... Zero, BF, mustang: light class corsair, hien, FW, spitfire: heavy class

I have got to say that the 10 ten all deserve to be there (except 1) All great pilots and dang hard to kill! Respect to you all... But without a doubt Origami is the hardest to kill and is like glue on your six!
I would agree... Zero is the best d.f. plane and is the only real light plane and in WWII no one would have gone into a d.f. with a zero on their own and hoped to have lived! The Spitfire would outclass most planes in d.f. both for speed and handling, but they were expensive... The plane I would like to fly is the mosquito... that was a killer fighter plane. As an importants point the game should allow for black-outs and handling damage if it is to be anything like flying a WWII fighter plane...
kudos to the mosquito - that was a wicked night attack plane and if i remember correctly from readings, it was a killer tank/train destroyer due to its ability to handle a larger payload. i'm glad they haven't made this game too realistic. Score = 1000 + (kill x 7) - death + (play x 2) One play is a match that u kill or be killed at least one time.
I have decided that I would like to take up the new tempest every now and then just because I know I will be the only player up in one! It's probably the rarest plane in SoG! There is of course one problem with using it.... it totally sucks! To counter act its lack of everything and to not get myself shot down too much, I have decided that in this rare occasion........ I'm going to be using rockets! *gasp* I know, what you are going to say, but guys.... it's the worst plane in the sky. This does not make me a wuss, OK people!!!! *ah hm* Keebler.
I don't quite understand why u don't use the old tempest. Anyway, I have seen another guy in new tempest, can't remember his name. I have used rocket once yesterday. Result is horrible. But there are more rocketeers nowadays who can hit u with rocket even in dogfight.
I only wanted to use the new tempest because I thought for sure that I would be the only player to ever be up in one! That's the ONLY reason! Let me just say though that I just did that.... and um that didn't work out so well for me. This thing really is beyond useless! It looks cool, but that's it! Oh and also I would like to apologize to the player known as "1" but he really did get the better end of the deal on that one! I think I made him laugh a bit though as every round that got me, I made sure to counter with an "ouch" just as lightning quick! Yeah, I don't think I can bring myself to ever take it up again... EVER!!! I can see why it got recalled!
With Capt Fear coming back into top 10, that's it folks, the SoG top10 final list. Don't expect anymore new people into top10. It's close. It's all over. Give up, folks. "It must have been love, but it's over now" (this USA love song just pop into my mind while writing this post).
@mosquito60 - thanks? Really? Well most of the time i'm just lucky. When i'm playing against the guys in the top10 (and some not in the list)....it's like i'm using the p40, hehe, they're the nightmares!

the mosquito would be useless in day operations. the reason being, it was made of plywood. all wood construction gives it no armor at all. that's why the mosquito always remained a Night Fighter or Night Bomber. but it's still one of my fave planes
