Anyone take the plunge with Ski Jump? Or is this assignment going to the TOFTT?

    [Lite Version]

While it initially looks like a throwaway app, the video has me halfway convinced to try it out. 3 difficulty levels, online scoring, touch & tilt controls might make for an interesting quickie diversion.

yeah really.....your not asking anyone to TOFTT if theres a video of how crappy it is.

Your asking people to waste thier money so you don't have to

Jeeze......some people are either too young or they act to young

no, I'm asking if any already has plunked their money down on this. Remember, TOFTT is only for use in cases where no one has been willing to check it out.

Besides, I already took one "expensive" TOFTT assignment earlier with KingdomWar :p

    I don't think I'd make the plunge.

    here's a video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRpsIufmT1E

I played it a few times. I can't say I really enjoyed it that much. It's not bad, it's just a rather simple game. I think the video basically shows it off.

Thanks for the link and thoughts. I was hoping for something a little more complex. That said the use of angles reminds me of javelin throwing in Hypersports back in the 80's...

    Pretty good because of highscores

    New to TA!
Anyway, the game is ok, pretty shallow but, the HS system is nice and makes you want to get high in the rankings. I got 2nd in expert k-line or today!

Simple game but really addicting! The smallest mistakes can really throw your distance off so for me, it's all about jumping at the perfect time (I got a 97% a couple of times) and getting your lift angle right after your jump.

Any tips from the top high scorers?

Yeah, as you said, timing is key (99.5 is the best possible). Most of it however is practice. It seems to be a little random (get farther even with less power). Another small thing is to get to high lift fast.

There does seem to be a bit of randomness as you said. I hope they clean that up in an update...

Yep once I had 99.5 and almost perfect lift and I still did better with 85 and pretty good lift. It might be a physics problem (sweet spot not actually sweet spot physics wise)
