Same game as 10B7C, except there is Plus+ and you can see pics of the prizes. It also has this annoying star system, where you get bonuses in the next game depending on how well you have been doing. So, if you did really well in the previous game, you could get a star. That adds 1 to your multiplier. If you do badly, you can lose stars. There is a huge problem with this though - once you get a single bad game, and lose a star, your next scores are going to be a lot lower. You just keep losing all of your stars, and every time you play, you get worse and worse.
(Jon from Graveck here, one of the developers.) Great idea, will be in the next update. Sorry it isn't working as well as you'd like. The score you need to get to maintain your current level of stars is directly related to the number of stars you have. So essentially, as long as you get your balls in the higher valued cups as much as possible and maybe even get a bonus cup, your star count will maintain or even go up if you hit the 1up threshold. I'd be happy to post the numbers needed somewhere. It just purposely hasn't been placed into the game anywhere. Cheers, -Jon
I have all the skee ball type games and this one beats them all by a longshot just for fell and overall quality BUT I just lost all my prizes for no reason (I am at 826 tickets) ?????
Downloaded and have been playing Skee-Ball on my 2nd gen touch today and have amassed over 300 tickets already.
I am only hesitant to get this because it would mean I would have to choose between keeping this or 10 balls 7 cups on my device. I got a lot of tickets on 10 balls 7 cups and got epic and rare prizes that I don't want to lose. Trouble is you really can't see them all on that screen unless you email someone (could be yourself) but who wants to do that so the shelves are appealing. I am willing to take a chance with this one but I feel like I am undoing all my hard work. I would have been willing to pay for an update and keep my status in the old game. I do like these versions instead of some others out there - much more realistic. Aw heck its 99 cents...
Ok after playing all three - Ramp Champ to me wasn't as realistic and then had some that were more targets than skee ball. For the true skee ball experience I would recommend the other two. Taking it a step forward - both are pretty much the same game (same team of developers or something so the game is basically an upgrade) BUT 10 balls 7 cups allows you to earn tickets but your prizes that you collect show up in a list that as far as I could figure (after many months of playing) you can't scroll down to read your entire list. Skee Ball on the other hand has a shelf that displays your loot - by category even. You can even upgrade balls (with tickets) to give it a new look. So only been playing for half hour or so but enjoying it immensely and already accumulated a lot of stuff and like that its displayed. Still disappointed at all the work I put into the other one but oh well. I also like the star and achievement unlocked aspect of this one. Basically if you earn stars with high scores your multiplier starts right away. So in summary if you don't have one on your device I would recommend Skee Ball. If you have 10 balls 7 cups then you don't necessarily have to upgrade but the shelf is nice. But I still want to earn some of my epic cool prizes again!
What he said. I prefer Ramp Champ overall but it's not really a skee-ball sim like the other two, I'm attracted to it as a kind of retro arcade style game with awesome artwork more than anything. If you actually care about playing proper skee-ball though, Skee-Ball is the one to get.
Is there a way to view your unlocked achievements? I cannot find a way to link this to my Plus+ account... Is there not a button for Plus+ like in Rolando?
agreed, i was looking for old school skee ball like i used to play 16 years ago...this games for me glad i didnt pay an insane amount of $$$ for the other
There's a Plus+ button in the upper right of the screen at the main menu. It requires OS 3.0. (or higher) Yeah, there's already at least three new prizes in the first update. One really cool epic ball especially, and things like the sun ball is way neater looking.
Has anyone noticed that the left tilt doesnt work all the time? I wish there was an option to turn off the accelerometer. Other than that, this game is awesome!
I would like to be able to delete prizes as I have multiples of some of the cheap ones.............possible to add this feature ?
Just bought this. It's great. Except for the fact that it charged my account for TWO purchases. WTF. I bought it once, and it dloaded twice, and it even debited my account for two purchases. lol It's for 1 buck and 6 cents, but not 2 bucks!
