The physics in Ramp Champ are a joke. I like everything else about it, but that problem is a deal-breaker for me. I loved 10 Balls 7 Cups, but it lacked the 3D prizes, so this seems like it will be the boosh. /bought
WOOOO. Yay Skee-Ball. I can't wait to get home to buy~ You know, me and my friend are gonna actually try and make a machine. I doubt it'll be very good, but we need something to do.
This game is great fun and has made it to the top of my causal games list. So fun to play for a quick fix or in longer sittings. Physics are amazing and the ability to tilt for spin adds a new level of skill. Really fun and really realistic. Go buy now!
I've been watching this one since I saw the ads go up on this site. I wasn't dissapointed. It's fun to play in short or long increments. I haven't owned any of the previous games of this type except the lite version of Arcade Bowling. This is more realistic with the wooden skee balls, tickets and prizes. Well worth a buck.
I don't think there are any physics at all, just predetermined animations depending on finger movement. So... I don't look at it as a skeeball sim, more like a retro arcade take on skeeball. I still prefer it because it looks awesome, if I really needed to play skeeball that much I'd go and play it for real
I have 10 Balls 7 Cups and I still bought this one. The additions Freeverse made are well worth the 99 cents... and this was already the best skee-ball game in the AppStore. IMHO.
Hey there, just wanted to clarify this point: Skee-Ball has a full physics engine - all the ball movements are determined by this engine. There aren't any pre-rendered animations of any kind! When you tilt your device left or right after rolling a ball, to give it some spin, that's also controlled by the physics engine. On the technical side, it uses NVIDIA's PHYSX engine. Hope this helps!
Sorry I was actually referring to his comment about Ramp Champ, I know Skee-Ball has a physics engine. Works great too
+ 1 BILLION what physics? seriously, Ramp Champ was a waste of my money. now this...i love 10b/7c, but for a buck, this is probably worth it.
Accelerometer I wish there was a way to turn the Accelerometer off. It's useful, yes, but it makes it extremely inconvenient to play while in a moving vehicle, or really while doing anything involving moderate movement.
This actually looks to be a solid version of skeeball...though nothing can replace rampchamp for me Edit: lol but I just read the comment on the earlier page so I'm not sure
I'd say they are different games. Anyway, I'm enjoying Skee-Ball more than I thought I would. Great physics, interface and loots. I just wish this game was all in portrait mode.
ill ignore the giant opening you left me and agree about the accelerometer comment. i have a hard time playing anything that uses it in a moving car. homerun 3d battle drives me crazy cause every bump in the road makes the hit spot twitch and i end up sucking. real racing is the same way when in a car, i always end up pumping the gas when i should slow down.
I wish you had the option to turn the accelerometer option off. I just got the Psychedelic ball, it's awesome looking
