You get 10 letters, each worth from 1-6 points, to make 6 words. There are double bonus squares, and 6 letter words, themselves, are worth double. There are two scoring modes. Regular, which I recommend for beginners, scores every S as 6 points. So you are rewarded by words like MESSES and PASSES. After mastering regular mode, there is challenge mode, which scores only the first S in each row as 6, and any subsequent S's in the same row as 1. But, if you find 6 words with only 1 S each, then your entire score is doubled. Challenge mode was born out of play testing as a way to encourage finding more interesting words. It offers more long term playability. Everyone plays the same daily letters. And there is a cool burgundy color box, where the darker colors represent higher scoring letters, which I encourage you to share to social media.
