The Adventures of Tin-Tin is also coming out on the 15th. It wouldn't be the first time they released 2 games on the same day.

Well tintin is already out in quite a few countrys, so it wouldn't be two releases on one day in most countrys...

New interview posted with unbound gamer, i noticed this on theif fb page today.

    http://www.unboundgamer.com/_/six-guns-exclusive-interview-and-screenshots-r814

basically the gameloft guy was incredibly vague with all of his answers, including release date, but confirmed that it is freemium.

"Six-Guns will be a free to play game (so completely free to download) with in-app purchases available to those who want to progress at a quicker rate. We don’t force the player to make these purchases, but if they want the best equipment and outfits without waiting or saving the gold they earn in game then they can get them through the in-app option."

So looks to be more of the good side of freemium like bullet time, where all the IAP is for more gold to buy weapons etc... who actually spends money to skip half the game and make the game too easy?

    I'm not even interested.

There more people who download this game, the more you're sending Gameloft the message that you support them going freemium.

I don't and therefore I won't be loading this game up on any iOS device I own. I don't support freemium and I refuse to let Gameloft (who are supposed to be a core iOS gamer company), Belived that is what a gamer community wants.

    No thanks.

I would ask all the members from TA to excuse my tantrum, BUT:
TO HELL WITH ALL THE FREEMIUM MARKETING THINGY, worst thing to ever happen to gaming! It`s just the.... worst...

As long as its not energy based, meaning you have to wait or pay to start playing again, I dont see how its any different from most of the recent GL games, apart from its free!

asphalt 6 had IAP purchases to buy cars and upgrades, or you could get them the normal way, Modern combat 3 has IAPs for upgrade points (and killstreaks unfortunately) butyou can earn them the normal way as well. Same with fast 5, same with 9mm, same with order and chaos.

They have games that are truly freemium like brothers in arms 2 free+, lets golf 3, and i would guess gt racing free plus and fishing kings free plus...not played them, but they are pay to play, not pay to upgrade.

So if its just purchases, not energy to play, I'm OK with that because I'm never going to buy IAP and it will turn out like the other IAPs that gameloft have been using, there for people to buy if they feel stupid, but completely unnecessary.

Those apps actually had a purchase cost.

I disagree, I'm not okay with freemium/IAP models.

By biting this apple Gameloft is "treating" you with, they're going to see that this model of gaming is acceptable; it becomes a slippery slope of how far will Gameloft then take this gaming model.

Next, EA sees Gameloft is successful with the gaming community - Soon, all games on iOS become like FarmVille or Zynga titles.

I don't want to show I'm accepting of that. I'm not.

If its not buying health like brothers in arms I dont understand the problem.

Sure its a model designed to sucker gamers into spending more but for those who are not stupid enough to do that its not getting in the way. Even infinity blade put IAPs in with ridiculously over priced weapons that will be impossible to get without many hours of grinding, or using IAPs, personnally i prefer grinding as im playing the game more, and dont waste money.

This looks more like a premium game they made free to try and get more IAP from the strange people that buy IAP, (like asphalt 6 when it went free for a week or so) rather than a farmville style game where you have to keep paying to get more energy or health to keep playing, or like the route they took with brothers in arms 2 free +

I'm glad to see you all have a united front against Freemium. Good luck with that. I myself will download it because it looks like a fun game.

Cant believe some of the OTT reactions. It doesnt sound bad at all, it sounds like it 'could' work the same way as Bullet Time which is great. You're not forced to buy anything, if you are it'll help you get further in the game quickly, if not take your time.

Again i dont see the issue, these companies have to make money. If theyre not freemium and they release it at 2.99 then people will moan about that, people will pirate it as well so no money for the devs.

If you told me back in the 80's when i was buying games at $15 that years later i could download games for free which were of a very high quality and NOT forced to buy anything in the game, i'll have been happy as anything.

As usual people just like to whinge constantly about IAP's

Yeah, that's the problem with Gameloft and freemium. If it was hefty grinding, I wouldn't care. But Gameloft so far always makes you 'pay to play' in freemium games, meaning the energy system or the route they took with BIA2+....

If it works like Bullet Time HD then I don't really mind. Not all freemium games are bad IMO, but most of them are.

The .99 cent mentality of ios gamers has led us to this:

Developers, geared toward the core gamer, resorting to IAP/freemium play model.

I'm not going to go on a ranting tirade. Make of this what you will:

Supporting this move, will become a reap what you sew moment. The clearest analogy, in nerd speak, I can make is:

Senator Palpatine didn't seem so bad to the republic. When Darth Sideous emerged from the shadows and the empire had taken over, what hope did the humanity have then? A small rebellion of people who believed in something.

You never get something for nothing. What are you REALLY giving these companies (Gameloft, Facebook, etc.) to get SOMETHING for free?

    Chew on that.
