It's awesome to hear that! Enjoy! As a reminder for everyone, you can read the patch notes here: http://thylacinestudios.com/forums/index.php/topic,275.0.html And don't forget to read about how you can get a boss named after you in Siralim! http://thylacinestudios.com/forums/index.php/topic,276.0.html
Realm level 154. Started sigil battle. Normal creatures don't seem to be scaling but the nether creature I faught hit me for 23,000!!! So they are scaling. I did kill him and all te other battles I fought so I'm not sure it's scaling as intended of am I just too strong? My gunslinger is poo now. Not really happy about that change so now I'll need to invest more time in making a new creature to take his place. I suppose killing two is ok but he was wiping the entire team in one go! Sad for dude! Still super slow load times for me, super slow. Honestly i havnt played much because it's such a drag I hope it can be worked on for next patch. Spells working great! All other changes are pretty cool. Thanks again
For your reference and it doesn't sound like much bit it's a drag Loading game: 38 seconds Entering portal: 32 seconds Returning to town; 30 seconds Going between rooms in castle; 15 seconds Starting a battle; 12 seconds Returning from battle; 9 seconds You can see if I need to head back to refresh some rituals it's simply painful. Playing consistently with these loads just drains me.
I had to pick either the Mortarman or the Gunslinger to change since they were just way too similar. Sorry that your Gunslinger got the boot hopefully you can find some use with its new ability anyway! The delays will be improved drastically in the next patch, but that's still a few weeks off. For now, you might want to consider starting a new game if that sounds remotely fun to you. Some of the game modes are really interesting, particularly Randomization mode.
That's the plan. Poor King Dude will just have to sit and be rich and happy for a bit. Perhaps mortorman nether will be worthwhile
Started playing last night for 40 minutes. Is it just me or drapd for monster orbs super rare thus making this a grind fest? In 40 minutes I got 1 orb (need 2 more to even make a monster, and this is at low level 6!). I tried using spells to weaken monsters a bit then try diffusing over and over, no luck. I can't even hit them to injure a bit because I just one hit them. Spose I could go up a few siralims. What's the go? Why does it take so long to diffuse anything. Let alone go and find that creature again to so it twice more. Not a big fan of not being able to see the enemy creatures health. Total guess if your creature will have enough attack.
You still have a chance to be able to diffuse them when they're at full health. If you can one-shot them, either advance a few realm levels or just spam diffuse on them until you get their particle. Edit: By the way, you might want to consider unlocking the Dungeon realm early on. There's an object in that particular realm that drops creature particles, making it very easy to gain access to new creatures.
Thanks for the response. I thought there was a chance when at full health too, and did spam diffuse either way until I was too far down in my creature health. So had to kill them. Thing is, I might succeed in diffusing them at full health but alas! I get one orb only! Need another two! Will try go up a few realms to see if I can have better luck using my attack to get them down first. Thanks. (Obviously none of what I'm saying is new as it's a core mechanic to need 3 orbs). Any hints on the code behind drop rates at all? How is it determined? 10% chance to drop an orb straight up or?
The chance starts at 15% and increases based on the amount of damage the target has already taken. You can get a rough idea of how much damage the enemy has taken via the flavor text displayed when you highlight an enemy before attacking it (such as "X is mortally wounded", meaning it's nearly dead).
Thanks. Good to know re: the 15%. Good to know what I'm working with. Ok, I'll pay more attention to the flavor text next time.
You have a really small chance to get a particle when a creature is "Completely Healthy". Then it is "Lightly Bruised" and the chance is still quite small (don't know the numbers). After that it gets "Somewhat Damaged" and you have more chance to gain a particle. A reasonable chance to diffuse a creature is when it is "Badly Damaged" or even better "Mortally Wounded".
Loving the game but every time I save and exit, my character is being reset back to level 21. This has happened three times which, as you can imagine, is very frustrating. Any solutions? I'm on ipad 3, latest ios and I have had no other issues.
I found a bug where creatures get spawned inside walls. Only happened once though. I can try uploading the pic fits necessary, but it never seems to want to work. Let me know if/what else you need for a proper bug report.
Sorry to hear that. Does this happen even when you toggle to the "Save & Exit" option, then try to continue the game immediately after? Also, just curious but is your device jailbroken?
No, not broken. The resets seem to happen if I save and exit and then close the program totally or turn my ipad off. Funny thing is, as well as my main chars level resetting to level 21, not all my creatures levels are resetting....only the omnipotent deity, which goes back to level 1. The rest keep their levels and items etc Weird.
I'll see if I can figure out what might be causing the problem. For now, you should know that the game saves every time you change rooms in the castle or use a portal, so you can force the game to save that way before exiting and everything should be safe. Once again, sorry for the frustration this must be causing you.
