Vampire bat. Not sure I could ever get rid of this guy. Allows each member to heal themselves based on DMg done has allowed me to progress really quickly I believe. He's awesome. Low hp and if he does the affect goes away is only issue. Might stack him with def.
I have found post patch speed is really useful now and I can tell a difference in attack on the creatures that have high speed. Luck is really Nice too. I actually find luck and speed and only a little attack is a good mix. Defense was bumped up last patch so if you eat to survive easily just grab a bunch of def vs ALL. This helped me push thru loads of levels. I can't say enough about healing. I have found poison and bleeds lacking, except when one of my speed creatures gets a speed based bleed they die quickly but I never have seen that affect on enemy creatures. My favorite enchantment is fervor. Hitting multiple times is insane. My fallen carnage is my go to creature. I attack with others to get each creature down to mortally wounded ad then my fallen carnage finishes them off, back to back using fervor. He fully heals when he kills too. If you have a speedy team that goes first you can get rid of half + the enemy team in the first round.
Thanks for the posts! You got some nice legendary artifacts going on, I can see. I think the crafting in this game is brilliant and it will definitely keep me playing a long time. Do you mind telling me what your legendary artifact effects do? I'm curious. You have a good strategy. I'll have to create a new game sometime to get out of my current comfort zone. Right now, my team is mostly offensive. I have two skeleton mortarmans, I raised the speed on both so they always strike first. Often times, not much survives after. They're paper thin though, and it really hurts when I lose them both, but it sure makes for quick battles. I also use the creature that gives all creatures a 15% chance to dodge attacks but with mixed results. I also use the unicorn that heals another creature when he attacks but I definitely miss the resurrection unicorn; I have not seen him appear in the tiers yet (I play random). I think the new experience bonus that lower level creatures will get (in this coming patch) will really help me try out new creatures, so I'm looking forward to unlocking a few more tiers and trying stuff out. I haven't found a nether orb yet, so I'm building up my gem collection in anticipation. Before I start they will all be level 9, around 15 of them. Dude - I noticed you use the berserker fiend. I always find him lacking, personally. What is it you like about him?
The berserker was lacking at first but pumping up his attack has made him my heavy hitter. Especially when he attacks the opposing class, he can usually one hit things. He heals himself too. He may be going tho soon as the next patch will allow me to play a more diverse team leveling them up quicker. WINGS OF DISPAIR: ignore artifact defense, luck and attack if attacked or attacking PIT WORM ACID: I have two characters with this one, it splashes all enemies on attack and lowers their defense by 10%. Obviously this has diminishing returns but after 4-6 hits with this the entire enemy team has a solid 40-50% reduction in defense. MIDNIGHT FEAST: this is actually the same ability on the fallen carnage and I will be swapping this to another creature today since it's his same baseline ability twice. Grants fervor and restores to full health if you kill an enemy. If you want to get some really cool legendary enchantments keep using your pandemonium tokens... There is a fight you can do that gives at least 3 different types of "pandemonium" enchantments that are all awesome.
They basically told me that this can only be a one-time thing and it's unlikely that they'll do it again. I kind of doubt that's 100% true, but unfortunately I don't think it's something I can abuse.
Thanks for this. I was so excited for the update that I yelled out, "yessss" which gave me a few looks from the wife lol. I'm probably too old to be that excited about a game update
Haha, well your passion is certainly appreciated! Now that most of the boring things are fixed, I can start working on balancing the game and adding some new content as well. On that note, if anyone knows a graphics artist that can do graphics similar (but better) to what's in Siralim, please direct them to this page: http://thylacinestudios.com/hiring.php
I think the patch is amazing but on my ipad retina, I find the new font and UI size to be a bit too small. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to size a UI on such myriad of devices and resolutions on IOS, but would it be possible to get some sort of UI / font sizing options? Thanks again for all your hard work on the game, it truly is a gem. I just read that you're looking for someone to redo the visuals. My opinion is that they are really good as it is. I don't know if that's just me, but I think they are perfect the way they are now.
Hi there! I have good news and bad news for the dev. First the good: the game no longer crashes when starting a game and movement through the world and menus are great. I'm quite excited to play your game, but there is one problem; and now the bad: The text is absolutely miniscule. I can make out next to nothing. =< An option to increase size of text would be perfect. If it helps the text on the main menu is fine, but when you type in your name and choose gender, etc. the text is unreadable. Thanks for listening to us, you seem like a great dev! Excited to play! (Edit: I forgot to mention I am running this on a nearly ancient Iphone 3GS. Thought I should mention.)
@Jorlen: Could you please take a screenshot of the game with the menu open so that I can make sure there's nothing strange happening? It definitely shouldn't be too small to see on an iPad so I'm concerned that it's not scaling properly. As for the graphics - don't worry, they're not going to be changed too drastically. There are just several that could use some improvements; not necessarily an overhaul. @WildBastion: Great to hear it's working now! An option to increase the font size would indeed be nice, but if it gets any larger then none of the text will fit in the menus and things like that. I'm probably going to have to end up remaking most of the UI entirely so that it's easier to see. This will take a lot of time so unfortunately I can't promise it for the next patch.
The text is incredibly small for me on my iPhone 5. There was no change after the recent patch. Screenshot (View on iPhone for proper effect) Also not sure why my name changed from Joe to Joe'a after the patch.
Sure. See attached images. One is a before screenshot I had taken, where you can see the monster boxes align to the very bottom of the screen and the other UI boxes seem like they're stretched out to be bigger. THe other is a screen of the new UI and font.
Feedback; the text is small but I expect it to be this small. There is so much information if the text was any bigger things would take up the whole of the screen or you would be stuck scrolling they text boxes (more than now). The size is fine.
Updated to new patch. Sometimes in combat everything freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. Haven't seen a pattern to it yet. last time enemy casted a spell friendlings and it froze. Will update when I see it happen again. Important note: When enemy casts summon friendlings defiantly crashes game/freeze. Enemy casted a spell on phase knight that gave it taunt. crash/freeze. Phase knight casted affliction crash/froze game only showed first status change disarmed. Serendipity crashed/froze game. Some defense spell crashed game gave to all defenses and increased max health. I missed the name. Enemy casted Molten armor buff crash/freeze Enemy casted summon wolf pack crash/freeze
When enemy casts Chain Lightening game throws error window and crashes. This happens every time enemy creature casts this spell. I experienced this bug after last update.
Sorry guys, it seems like there's a bug with the engine we're using that is causing some pretty strange crashes in the most recent update. I am going to try to fix these errors and release a hotfix ASAP. I am very sorry for the frustration. Known bugs: - Chain Lightning crashes the game if the enemy uses it, but not the player. (Fixed for next update) - Sound effects in battle sometimes don't play which causes messages to stick around forever. (Fixed for next update)
This seems like the game I would be willing to wait for. Though I can't play yet, I will eagerly await the time I am able. (Hell I may try to stumble through without being able to read- like playing an imported game lol) Yeah a UI overhaul sounds perfect, I'm not sure how you can fit that massive amount of info on a small screen but I think you will find a way. /support lol
On my iPad 3, everything seems to have shrunk down a bit, the main playing window is a bit smaller and so are the controls. The characters have all shrunk down too.
