Game looks and plays great on iPad 3 (I guess on normal because high and ultra doesn't stick in the options)...graphics is incredible. Controls are precise, even if sometimes not that precise as I wanted (I'm already on chapter 3)....tempted to buy those plastic joysticks you apply on your screen (more because my finger is stuck on the screen than anything). Story is INCOMPRENSIBLE...maybe it's just my poor English (yeah I know spoken text is Hungarian) but I can't understand anything reading the texts...why I'm constantly changing pilot? And aircraft? Am I trying to kill one by one the crew that dropped the bomb? I've no clue. Probably I'm missing something BIG. I too have the Facebook problem (does nothing). I wonder if it syncs among devices somehow...I'll try on iPhone 4S when the download has finished. Anyway the game is great and FRANTIC, with some of the most crazy bullet patterns I ever saw, not to mention those very über Japanese bosses. I really like the time mechanic and the 16:9 smaller view, even if I wished to get rid for the normal fire button...and have just the time capsule and the secondary weapon (btw...some secondary weapons are just incredible). The underwater levels are simply unbelievable.
some answers Hello All, I'll try the honest approach to answer some of your questions The app was temporarily pulled from the store because of some last minute changes we've made to ensure compatibility with the next update. Sorry for the confusion. Since the submission of this version, we've been working hard to iron out some of the minor bugs that crept into the game - we wanted to make sure none of your will experience any problems when the update arrives. The update will address a number of issues we've collected since submission, including (but not limited to) retina performance improvements, fixing the last boss tunnel section, restoring missing assets and minor tweaks to gameplay. Controls: we've tried a couple of different methods, and this one seemed to work best. As the original game was designed to be played with analogue sticks, not all methods were fit to replace it in the mobile version, and some of them would have even broken the game itself - we apologise if you're not satisfied with the current scheme, feedback is always welcome of course! iPhone4/S, iPod4 remarks: we're continuously seeking ways to improve performance, but - at least, for this current version - we felt that the framerate was just not acceptable on these devices. Sine Mora is quite high-end when it comes to asset quality and quantity, and some sacrificies had to be made in order to maintain "console-quality" experience.
How does is play on an iPhone 5, any opinions? I don't mind if I won't be able to crank the graphics up to Ultra as long as the gameplay is still solid (and if the 5 can handle the higher end graphics, so much the better). Thanks! Looks like an awesome shooter.
Despite the warning, the game plays and looks great on iPhone 4S, at least the beginning. Right now my only complaint (beside the story I can't understand) is the lack of iCloud sync and Gamecenter. Other than that, it's awesome.
Suggestion: iCade support would be appreciated. Statement: I have bought the game. Please cut the FB link for haven't sake...
When you enter the plant facility, difficulty really ramps up. NOW the game is absolutely GORGEOUS and PURE MADNESS. The number of animations on screen is jaw dropping....the game seems really well optimized. And I do not mean just colored bullets....complete and varied animations of all kinds.... Despite the (broken) Facebook inclusion and even without Gamecenter and iCloud sync (something that should be a given now IMHO and that usually detracts a lot for me)...highly recommended. Nice to see the devs here already addressing some concerns. Well done job, really. I wonder what EXACTELY, if anything, does the normal/high/ultra settings.
Thoughts: I really hope the Facebook login gets patched out (don't have an account, don't want one) and I'm not sure about the virtual stick. Cannot imagine getting high grades on an iTouch screen with this (you have to pretty much never get hit, never use the slowdown) - it feels weird, twitchy, keeps bouncing me into walls. At the same time, technically at least this is an excellent port - obvious low textures & effects on an iPod but it still looks brilliant and the first chapter (three or four levels worth) is more than playable. Not an unhesitating recommendation but anyone into shooters should pick it up, at least - the things people can get outdated hardware like the iTouch to do never cease to amaze me.
