This is npwhere in the league of out of hand. Check out the old Star Command thread if you want to see a topic go off the rails, or earlier Xcom for that matter! I'm glad they've implemented new controls, did not like the joypad at all, and I also think the moaning about it is justified (especially as it has been effective!). Whilst the dev is obviously taking note, how bout another little request.... make autofire a menu option and when it is active remove the fire button and the autofire button from the screen and make "speed up" and "special" buttons a bit bigger?
Okay, now that's what you call an update. And a very fast and reactive to user comments one at that. Excellent. Thanks very much.
It seems we have a dry spell this week,so for those who haven't got this yet, might want to dive into this...
An awesome update to an already awesome game. Can't wait to check the improved graphics. Best shoot em up I ever played, on every platform....can't wait to see the alternate ending.
I think the answer to that is a definite yes, considering he was adamant that changing it was not an option. However, if the graphics are kicked up in such a manor that is more closely resembles the console versions, this will be less of an issue. It will be interesting to see how touch controls work in such a small area, though.
So now it will have relative touch but same screen size? I'm still not convinced.Although graphics are great but screen on iPhone 5 seems too small!
Thread Bump, Thread Bump, Sine Mora update! Thread Bump, Thread Bump, Sine Mora update! When, when when?! Soon, soon, soon!!! Thread Bump, Thread Bump, Sine Mora update!
I just bought the game few hours ago. Controls do not bother me very much neither that the game only saves after you finish a level. But after a few attempts at a boss fight at a B level, it appeared "game over"... Have to play the entire game from the beginning? I see that appears to start a new game without have the opportunity to continue previous game. Is this normal? (Sorry to bother you and excuse my poor English)
Yeah, it's kind of odd that they programmed it this way, but to continue with the stage you were last on after a "Game Over" screen, you have to go to stages and select the last stage you made it to. After that, unless you get another "Game Over", even when selecting Story, it will pick back up where you left off.
Well...it's a bit different as far as I know. Continues give you the possibility to actually 'continue' the game retaining your score. So...if I recall well...to complete the Story Mode in normal you have 10 'lives' (continue)...you will retain your score as it was at last checkpoint. The game will submit the score (facebook ladders) when you die after having used your last continue. If you select the stage from the stage selection, you will start with a 0 score. Anyway...Sine Mora is the only game I'm playing these days but as soon as I heard about the update I stopped playing...waiting for it to appear. Can't come soon enough....I'm really curious about the alternate controls and above all I want to experience the game with the upgraded graphics (which was already stunning to boot).
Good point. I'm not a high score whore and quite frankly am disappointed with using FB for leadboards so I never sign in. So if I use all my continues, I don't mind starting from the last one on the stage screen.
Well to be honest I do not mind the score either...but I asked myself that very question so I discovered that. Long ago I made a Facebook account just for games using it, and I used that. Obviously I would have preferred a GC ladder, where I could see where my friends playing were. Considering the first dev response to first buyer requests...I wouldn't rule out GC in the future. Still...the best shooter I ever played, hands down. I still have nightmares about Domus.
