THIS!!! While I'm actually playing on iPad 3 I tried it on iPhone 4S (played till the infamous garbage shafts) and had no problems. On the contrary it was so slick I really wonder why they put that warning (maybe for later chapters?). The only stutter I saw was on iPad 3 when the Spider boss at the end of world 3 explodes. While I am this...I woulnd't bother if, considering how well it works DESPITE what the devs think...they do some upgrades to the graphics (graphics is ALREADY amazing btw....some indoor levels are just jaw dropping).
My iPad 4 arrives this week, and I've handed my wife my iPad 3 so I think Sine Mora will be the perfect title to test out the superior graphical capabilities of my 4. Well, this and Deus Ex - The Fall.
I have a Iphone 4s and I heard some people that say it works fine on it so can somebody who has one can confirm me if it really works well, if there are any framerate issue etc. Also, how much is the size installed please ?
No bother. Your opinion of the game was spot on to my mind. I can see why it wouldn't suit some people, but I just wouldn't share that feeling because it is, put simply, a very entertaining and challenging game. One would need one hell of a good reason not to buy it. The artwork and environments alone continue to amaze me. Its an awful lot of fun with battles that just make jaw drop downwards while praying to whatever deity I'm worshipping at the moment. Good fun.
Yes, if you look at the past couple of pages there's a few of us who have played on a 4S with no issues.
To people who have played a bit (on every platform). I must doing something wrong or my English is much worse that I tought...but besides a vague idea of what it's going on, the game is still unintelligible. What the hell is going on????
the game have a pretty good plot but its just badly told since is hard to get when is happening most of the stuff is you already finish the game here a two sites that explaing how the plot goes Huge spoilers of course http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/605273-sine-mora/64968465 http://steamcommunity.com/app/207040/discussions/0/846939615084665465/
Thanks...I'll check them out when I'll complete the story mode. Weird...I read every text but I can't still understand almost anything. I tought the single levels are all mixed in the timeline...but still I found the texts pretty hard to follow and disconnected to what it's on the screen. EDIT: WOAH. WOAH WOAH WOAH. WORLD 5 is just....WOAH. And, AT LAST, I'm finally getting the story...I knew I was right!!!! BTW....after a million tries Facebook finally synced. It syncs just the score apparently, not the level unlocked between devices
Ok...I have never played this. I have a question:I'm getting a bit of an Einhander vibe from the screenshots/description. Warranted or not? Thanks.
Mechanically it's not at all similar to Einhander. There's no interplay between primary and secondary-fire and perspective shifts in Sine Mora are purely for cinematic effect.
This a cheap port! Copy and paste. So many errors! The Leader-boards have connection errors about being unable to connect to XBOX LIVE! No Game Center leaderboards or achievements even though the game has both features gameplay-wise. (Probably from Xbox) The controls are bad the sensitivity on the joystick is weak , and the odd row of buttons for firing what us that about? So awkward on iPad try to stretch my thumb. The game is letter boxed even on a 16:9 iPhone 5 screen why? And iPad the size of screen is horrible.
^^ Pulls out sniper rifle. Headshot!!! In honor of the Sine Mora iOS Defense Squad, you are officially dead to us.
Try reading page 31 on this thread. Read the replied to post at the very top. The answers are there. Lazy port?? Dunno. Don't think so myself or actually care much for the source platform really. Sensitivity on the joystick is most certainly not a problem. The response is direct so saying its weak is a bit of a stretch. If you're point is looking for more speed up and down, isn't that what the time button is for really. In reverse. As for stretching to buttons, just turn on auto fire and leave that button alone. That's the furthest button and its still within easy reach. Don't genuinely understand how one would feel that its a stretch to reach the buttons, they're literally just there on the screen within very easy reach. Must be a massive case on your iPad.
Im not part of the defense squad, but id gladly shoot him too. For me the game's controls can be improved, but i truly think this is a fantastic game as it is.
I'd stay there for now. I threaded up the PlayStation 3 version this afternoon and there's really no comparison. Shooters on iOS only work because of relative controls. Like every other pad or joystick dependent genre (fighting, beat em' ups, platformers, hack n' slash, etc.) virtual controls are going to be unusable at worst and just good enough at best. (The odd exceptions like Brandnew Boy notwithstanding.) Relative controls are a serendipitous solution for shoot 'em ups that has actually made the iPad my preferred platform for danmaku shooters. Releasing one on iOS without relative controls isn't dissimilar from releasing an FPS on the PC with nothing but gamepad support. Ignoring a few minor bells and whistles, Sine Mora is an impressive port on the audio/visual front. But, yeah, the controls...they're just not good. I played several sections - early sections, mind you - on both of my iDevices and my PlayStation 3 and there's no getting around the fact that the virtual stick is far too fiddly and inaccurate for a game that demands pixel precision. Like I said, if you can get it elsewhere, do it. If you can't, I really wouldn't bother...at least not until the control issues are addressed. Sine Mora is a lot like Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, and Afterburner Climax in so much as the appeal of their presence on iOS disappears once their varying degrees of unplayability set in. (Though at least in the case of Sine Mora, Jet Set Radio, and Crazy Taxi, superior handheld options do indeed exist.)
