RT can and has been done without changing to unlimited speed. Some people don't like it, complain that it's laggy when it's really not, but it's certainly better than a vstick.
My main gripe is the screen real-estate..I think the upper border of the screen is useless..Is it possible to get rid of that??Its like FF:Tactics before major update all over again..
Are you sure it isn't maybe just the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G that have framerate issues? Seems to play great and smooth on my 4S. Awesome game. I too would prefer relative touch but am getting used to the joystick.
What exactly do you want them to do though? Stretch it vertically, reduce the horizontal size of the play area? I'd rather they leave it as is personally.
To each his own..how would the play area be reduced if the screen size becomes bigger??I have no problems with the border on the bottom as I know its importance..But on the subject of that big black space above, why is it there??There are no buttons there??
I'm guessing this is the original aspect ratio of the game. It is a port after all, so they may have nothing available to fill any more horizontal real estate, meaning they'd have to stretch the screen up, or cut off the sides i order to fill that space.
I see your point..Well that's just one of my wishes for an update..I am fine with the game's current state...
Do you think this App will look like the Xbox 360 version? If not, how big is the difference on an iPad 4? Nevermind, I just looked at the comparing screenshots. Seems the iPad is not powerful enough by far.
No, 5G. The opening chapter runs fine - some minor jitters, but not struggling, and looks great. Obviously it has some low-res textures and missing details but it still looks really good. I own the game and have beaten the story mode on PC as well, so I have some idea what I'm talking about. If the game is in fact saving my progress I don't mind the Facebook prompt - no way I'll ever get a high score anyway, so it's not like I want something else to log into instead.
Wow. Is Vita relly that much more powerful than the lastest generation iPad4? The difference is kind of big. Also RT would be AWESOME. It can be done without crippling the game mechanic but it takes time to perfect it and the developer may be better off just slightly tweaking the original controls for the touch screen. As for the aspect ratio of the game: it looks cinematic, and is a good port of the original which I don't mind. (The same goes for the aspect ratio of good games like IdolM@ster which also stretch out or keep the original aspect ratio: the original looks better, even with bars in some areas). I'll get this after the update. Hopefully by then a new iPad5 will be released with graphics power to unleash ports that are faithful to their other platform counterparts.
Would someone mind posting a screenshot of gameplay from the iPhone 5 so I can see how much letterbox there is. Thanks.
The differences in graphics matter only to those who like to compare platforms -- in terms of experience or gameplay the fact that one version has rolling waves is kind of immaterial. At this point I would say that the difficulty on the iOS version is well matched to the controls. Der-Kline is right that the Vita/PSN/PC versions deliver more of a hardcore experience, but as someone who became frustrated with the Vita version, I'm enjoying this one more. There's a cool story and art direction here that, IMO, was hampered by the steep difficulty spikes on the original. The iOS version is still a challenge, but it seems more evenly distributed. Your mileage may vary, though.
Just purchased this and one level in I'm really enjoying it. I'm on a iPhone 5. Yeah the joystick could be a tad bit better, but I still find the game more then playable. The bosses are huge and graphics are excellent. Really enjoying this one. Well worth $6
Oh well. Was gonna buy this figuring Game Center would be added in, glad I didn't. Why would anyone choose Facebook for leaderboards over GC?
Here is a screen in game from iPhone 5. There are no black borders. Runs silky smooth. I'm really liking it. Yeah no GC kinda blows as I love playing for achievements, but other then that the huge bosses really is what I like, and I wish there were more games that had them.
