i like Monz more than Shadow Monsters. Its too long for a the game name, and Monz just sums it up. Besides, hopefully it wont JUST be shadow monsters... so, if there are light ones, then that ruins the title (in my opinion). Why not "Monz: Battle of Shadows and Light" if you go with shadow monsters and light monsters? Of course, if you dont fo with shadows and lights, easy enough to change the title.
Umm no. There's a huge difference between "a few people" and "everyone". How many 12-year old kids own an iPhone? I'm sure most people who own an iPhone are over the age of playing Pokemon. The target audience wouldn't be that big, unless the console is DS or Gameboy.
True, but even those of us 'above the age' wouldnt mind a little nostalgia.... I remember when I first got pokemon, the blue edition, it kicked ass... it was so addicting... I never played any of the other million ones... but a nice little throw back might be nice
Well, from what i've been experiencing, every single kid in middle school has an apple product. Most of them have ipod touch/ iphones =/ Made me pretty jealous.
Chrono Trigger remains my favorite game of all time. If Squeenix ported it over I would never need another iPhone game =]
I completely agree, I only played it on DS but it tied TWEWY my all time favorite game on DS. TWEWY would be near impossible to port to iPhone but Chrono Trigger could be done.
You obviously have no idea. I'm sure the majority of hardcore gamers still enjoy pokemon, not to mention the people who are just looking for a little nostalgia. I fully respect and enjoy Pokemon as a game and think it to be one of the greatest RPGs of all time. I'm sure many people agree with me. Also, I lime the shadow/light idea, where you capture certain monsters at night, and certain at day. You should do this in real time too, to add a bit of imersion to it. I also hink that alot of the names here are ghastly (tehe), but the best so far is Monz. And I'd go with Shadow Beasts or Shadow Creatures over Shadow Warriors. How about just plain "Beasts" or with a z on the end. Not too bad.
Yeah, played the DS version as well. Loved the new features, but had one major problem... they had to cut off 14% of the bottom of the screen to fit the DS's screen! Granted a decent amount of this was a black bar, but it kind of took away from the experience when one of the party members or enemies was not visible. Anyway, I kinda doubt it will be brought over to the iPhone. Squeenix keeps its big titles to larger platforms and gives us spin-offs.

Did nobody else think that 'chronosaurs' was actually a better idea than 'shadow beasts' or whatever? I mean, time travelling dinosaurs WHICH YOU CAPTURE AND FIGHT... wouldn't that be AWESOME?
wait a minute!! how are the dinosaurs time traveling? do they have a power? or did they conjure up a time machine? because i would freak the eff out if i saw a dinosaur at the local gas station or something appear in the middle of me pumping gas, or buying some corn nuts. what are you doing here trex! you don't belong here!! you don't even own a car!
I'm glad people like my name idea XD I think Shadow Monz is a good way to put it too Oh, and I like the idea of flashlights used to capture them. But if there's light ones, how would people catch those ones?
Cool game idea. Not too awesome on names but if your putting in a light and dark side you gotta throw in dome good and bad 'angels' you know the dudes or dudetts with wings. Maybe one guy and girl for each side that are rare to find in the wild or you could just throw them in the plot somewhere
