An iPad version is definitely something I want to do, but I can't guess at a timeframe at this point. The iPhone version will launch with 3 game modes, and I'd like to add another 2 or 3 modes (plus some other stuff) before I really start thinking about the iPad.
What I would do is to simply make the play area larger on an iPAd and increase the density of silver's Anyhow, I might just take the iphone version when it comes out. Looks too nice.
Yes - I like how One Man Left handled the Tilt to Live HD conversion. Essentially the same game, but adapted for the device/screen size. However, "simply" doesn't really describe the process
I posted an update and new screen shot last night but it's now buried a page back: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=1353832&postcount=19 I'm aiming for a mid November release (Apple willing). If I can't hit that slot I may hold off till January, as a December release is suicide for small fry like me.
AAaa! If you go for January, let us play with the beta while we wait!!! Just kidding. I hope you get it out this year.
Here's another shot of recently completed visual FX for the Time Shock (bullet time) powerup. It's fair to say you need to see it in action to fully appreciate the effect
Thanks for the comments folks! BTW - If anyone found the first video a little tame, just stay tuned for the next one. That really was an alpha version. The final game modes and fx are a little more insane. Bullet-hell without the bullets.
I have a few more tunes to complete for the soundtrack then Silverfish is off to Apple! I decided to delay the new trailer till after the game is submitted but here's a peak at the backing track for Scavenger mode: scavenger.m4a
I submitted Silverfish to Apple over the weekend - shouldn't be long now I'm working on the launch trailer today, but here's another track from the game in the meantime: onslaught.m4a
I love the whole "Red Alert Klaxon" vibe! We're DOOMED...or is there that slim hope we can overcome this Neon Bug Invasion?
Oh, true enough, you can't actually ever win...but if you completely acknowledge it from the get go why even try? You NEED to believe there is a chance you can finally eliminate the threat even in the Endless Mode (and even by the fact you've chosen Endless you already KNOW this can't end nicely).
