Review I already sent you a pm with a png attached of my review, it has been reviewed and put on the Silly Owls review. And it shows I'm the only one, or the only one in Canada, as David Tran
Definitely an enjoyable game. Nice graphics, good physics, and challenging levels. There are three different gameplay modes, which really makes it interesting. The first mode involves slingshotting the owl, avoiding prickly fruit in attempt to get the owl home. The second mode involves using falling apples and levers to propel the owl back home. The third is an endless runner game. It can be difficult to make it through some levels, as there is some precision needed at times. I wish there were more than one level unlocked at a time within a stage. As it stands, if you are having trouble getting through a level, you can't proceed any further in that mode. I've been frustrated a few times trying to precisely get through an area, but eventually came back to it and got it. Having another level to try would help keep the game flowing. Another item that I hope gets changed is the ability to reset without hitting the pause button. In some cases (e.g. When you hit the prickly fruit in the first mode) it will reset automatically, otherwise, you must hit pause and reset the level. A quick reset button would be great (it sounds like this is in the next update). The endless runner is difficult for me, so hopefully there will be an update to make it easier at first. The switch between slide and jump can be quick, so a little extra time would be good, with difficulty increasing with longer gameplay. Other potential changes would be to allow the game to be played on the iPad flipped over (home button to the left), and have game center access from within the app. Additional achievements for the first two game modes would also be great. Perhaps there could be unlimited slingshots on some levels (or in a new mode) where you get stars/achievements for lowest shots used. That said, there is a lot of great gameplay here. Plenty of levels in each mode, with a nice variety in the puzzles. The addition of splitting apples and moving levers definitely adds to the strategy. Overall, very solid, fairly challenging physics puzzle game and I definitely look forward to seeing what new challenges you implement in the future!
Contest Status Update Hi guys! Just to let you know that I will randomly choose the 2 lucky winners in a few hours time. So if you still want to participate then you have to be fast! There are too many good feedbacks and reviews, I sincerely thanks all of you who have given me such good feedbacks where I manage to compile a list for updates. Feel free to discuss about the game in the Silly Owls thread anytime.
I'm a bit too late to give any great feedback, so I'll be out of the contest. But I'll leave a review once I really get my hands on this game.
Winners for feedback contest Hi guys, I am here again to thank everyone of you who sent me PM, discussion, reviews and feedbacks. I really appreciate all of them! Unfortunately there are too many good reviews and I really don't know how to choose from, so I just randomly pick 2 lucky winners. For the rest what I can do for you is to make sure my coming updates will make Silly Owls better and more enjoyable for you guys! Many thanks again, sincerely! Without you guys I won't be able to make this game better. And don't forget to keep in touch in the Silly Owls thread. Here are the two LUCKY winners that have won the $50 cash: Stan iANiMeX Congratulations!
Ooooomg!!!!! Thanks!! Never thought I will be winning back-to-back today. Woot!! Love this game. Looking forward to the update. I want to beat the highest score online. Good luck.
I am very impressed with the dev's quick updating and looking forward to the next update. I have completed all 30 levels of Doory. I have 88 of 90 stars, missing 1 star each in the last two levels. You should add the names in the game selector page. The only way I know Doory is the green owl is during the initial loading. To see that again, you will have to quit the game from the background and restart it. Is it just me or is it next to impossible to get 3 stars on level 5 on Hooty? I still suck at Woody. Pretty much hopeless for me. How is everyone else finding the difficulty and the left/right button arrangement as oppose to up/down button placement?
Don't worry, Woody will become slower and obstacles are smaller in the upcoming update. For the more control options maybe I will include it in the next MAJOR update, if I manage to include it, because I have to work out for more levels and new main menu screen. Maybe the new Main menu screen will help you to identify who is Hooty and Doory. For Hooty's Level 5, you have to drop the apple first, then let Hooty rolls on top of the apple to make a small push to the left. I think I included the tip in the title of that level.
Congratulations to two lucky guys ... Especially for iANiMeX - the richest man in the Touch Arcade...LOL
so uh, iANiMeX, don't you ever get tired of hearing this kinda stuff? AKA don't you want to give the poor people a chance? jkjk
