I picked up a large contact on the world map at night. I chose to investigate. I can't remember if I was on the surface or not. The bugged ship was with it from the start of the contact. i have had other "ships" before that have showed up on the end of contact report saying they escaped, but I never even saw them.
Xaron, The tactical map is what I was referring to, the one with the range rings. Torpedoes sometimes appear; sometimes I see the green dots and sometimes I don't. With the damage at the dock, it sometimes happens while I'm on that screen and sometimes when I switch to the map view. Thanks,
Thanks guys, that's quite interesting. You've spotted a ghost ship probably. HA! Let's see that I find this one, never happened on my device though yet... Regarding the torpedoes on the tactical map and the damage at the dock, I'm going into this as well. Beside these fixes we work on new features and improvements, so stay tuned! Cheers!
Another item I forgot to mention is the sensitivity of the speed wheel falls outside the physical picture of the wheel so it interferes with pinching and zooming on the screen. For example, I'll try to pinch and zoom on the tactical map and all of a sudden I'm at 2/3 reverse speed. Is it possible to change the speed sensitivity to on or inside the speed wheel? Thanks.
Another Thing... I was stalking a 4 ship Battleship Group (little did I know they were stalking me...!). Fortunately, they were heading right for me so I went to periscope depth and set speed for 1/3 (silent running). The light cruiser suddenly tuned towards me so I guess he spotted my periscope. I immediately pumped 3 torpedoes at him and then fired the rest at the battleship. Unfortunately, the cruiser got me first. The moral of the story is, when you die, is it possible to let the combat finish (let the torpedoes run their course) to see what happens before immediately being taken to the telegram screen? I wanted to know how bad I hurt the battleship! Thanks.
Hi all! Hope you had a fantastic Christmas. Sorry for that late answer, was quite busy with my family stuff. War Vet, those are very good ideas and I like your feedback! We will work on that, thanks for pointing that out!
Hey there and happy new year! We've got a review by pockettactics which I'd like to share here: http://www.pockettactics.com/reviews/review-silent-depth/ The main complaint there seem to be the controls. So yeah, having a small screen doesn't make it better.
An update is coming... Even though there are still things missing we want to integrate, we decided to roll it out to let you not wait too long for updates More updates to come of course! Changes: FIX: replaced "secure from battlestations" sound with just "battlestations" FIX: changed spelling of menue to menu MOD: status screen has higher resolution MOD: heading is shown relative to the submarine MOD: new crew of submarine at bridge MOD: font in detail map is better readable MOD: loading/saving incredibly simplified MOD: tripled shells damage MOD: overall tonnage is now also shown during patrol MOD: lowered range of ships spotting while in periscope depth MOD: when submerged destroyers only start look for you when the first torpedo hit NEW: medal awards NEW: depth gauge plus periscope depth button NEW: rudder and speed gauge NEW: compass and engine telegraph NEW: 3d command center
The asking price for this sim is more than fair. You can clearly see how much work went into it. There is so much attention to detail in every part of this game it's insane. The devs are very active. What I might suggest however is the devs make a small demo. Perhaps one small scenario and upload that as a separate app. That way people can actually see what it's all about. Billy
