Thanks for the comparison with Silent Hunter. But of course it won't have that complexity simply because of some limitations on mobile platforms. It's nice to see some interest, thanks!
Another screenshot. We've made a bridge view. This shot is taken directly from a Samsung S3 smartphone. Click to enlarge!
Added some zoom (two fingers zoom like usual - shot taken from an Android device): You might notice as well that the engine telegraph has changed, we've added "stand" and "flank" which were missing previously. The red line on the depth gauge is the periscope depth. First click on the depth gauge deeper than periscope depth will just targeting to periscope depth. Second click goes deeper. That makes it easier to reach periscope levels.
More screens! Worked on a lot of details, for most of them a video would be much better I guess. Click to enlarge! Click to enlarge! Click to enlarge! Click to enlarge! Click to enlarge! Click to enlarge! Click to enlarge! Click to enlarge!
Thats total crazy! This is awsome - what to say more? I want it. I'm not a typical gamer on the iPhone. I never bought a game before. But this is very interesting for me.
Rival Game Hi. Like the look of your game. Just found this upcoming WW2 Sub game "WOLVES OF THE ATLANTIC" (WOTA). Have you seen it yet?
Well I haven't seen it yet as it's not released yet but I see what you mean. I'm in contact with Mark (the creator of WOTA) and he's a nice guy! Hope he succeeds with his game! Some news about our game... I still work on the map and it's pretty huge: Midway is your start base and you can see you can cover quite an area. As we use a realistic environment, time compression is a must have of course. We do this automatically in map mode. So you select a sector there you want to go and your sub moves with time compression to the target sector. Ariving there you will forwarded to a more detailed sector map for fine planning. Of course you will be kicked out of map mode if something happens in between!
That looks amazing. I'm more familier with the pacific theme. I like it hot Hope to see more of your work Xaron.
Wow this game looks great, but I wonder if we can play the japanese too or only the americans? If we can play the japanese too, then this is a must have! Its always nice to be able to play on both side! That is why I loved Battlefield 1943 (online) on PS3.
Very busy with christmas stuff and my family atm. We still work hard on this. @djstout: Probably not in the first release. If the players like the game and it goes well we will update it quite a lot.
Oh yes, this is still in development! Here are some new screens from the map. There are now enemies. Large overview map: Closer detail map: The ship itself:
