Okay so today I was driving down the road and glanced at my iPhone and where it ussually has the E symbol for edge or 3g for 3g there was a o there. I then looked at my phone again about a minute later and it was gone. However another minute later there it was again a tiny o. I was just wondering if anyone new what this was. Thanks

It's slower data speed than edge. Don't remember what the O stand for right now, but it's a low as it gets lol.

  3. It means you're using GPRS, the slowest data method and last stop before no signal at all. I get that at certain spots around me, particularly if my phone is in its Juicebox Air, which is no friend to cell phone signals, sadly.

I think it indicates GPRS and may be the edge indicator in your iphone represents the lowest signal GPRS by an "o"...
