Oh, I didn't take it as an insult at all LOL. I was hopeing you were joking about how quick it downloads in te UK. That alone would be enough to make me want to move there (British are awesome, so that helps as well)

Oh I wasn't joking  from pressing download in the store on my iPad to playing the game only took about five mins.
I think it's around 20mb download speed on average here.

For those who had the PC/Mac versions, these are the differences I've seen:

The overarching mission (rescuing your family) has been simplified into a mission tree that has you hunting for clues less...I think.

The dancing mini-game is easier, something I don't many people will complain about. Instead of hitting various directional keys in time woth the music, it's more of a traditional rhythm game, in which you tap circles to the beat.

Sword fighting is simplified but, IMO, more difficult. You have 3 defensive moves (jump, parry, and duck), and three attacks. Gone are the different strengths of attack. I surmise that this is due to the lack of a keypad. Also, it uses swipes so the timing is trickier.

Sailing is a PITA. As far as I can tell, there is no option to steer left and right, instead the ship heads where you hold on the screen. I'm finding myself having trouble sailing this way, especially during battles.

Attacking a fortress brings up a new mini game with you controlling the cannons.

Besides that, all of the content is here...most importantly, the living world in which stuff happens no matter what you do. Countries declare war on each other, pirates and convoys go about their business, the "famous piates" are all in, I don't think the trading system has changed, etc.

^^ just worth pointing out you don't need to hold or drag to steer your ship, all you need to do is tap the screen and your ship will head in that direction and keep going that way until you tap somewhere else.
