It doesn't appear so. So will this be a simultaneous world wide release at 12:01 EST or a case where the devs flip some switch literally on Thursday at some point in the middle of the day?
Well, since they are releasing iPad only, I understand if sales aren't through the roof. Personally, I own two iPads and rarely use them for gaming. I mostly game on my stronger, bigger-file-size, faster, iPhone. So, if it was universal (utilizing a streamlined interface for phones), then I'd buy it in a heart-beat. Maybe I'll game more if I get a new iPad eventually, but I'd just rather have my favorite games in my pocket ready for the next business meeting where I'm really not needed.
Oh please!! Get off your high horse and look around. There are quite a few premium titles that are doing well nor are they waiting on how this title will do. So stop the doom and gloom about freeium games will stay as well.
I just read a review. The game will cost $14.99, and supports iPad 2, iPad mini and up. Civilization: Beyond Earth players who purchase Starships will have access to unlockable bonuses, including new planet types and missions. My mini will work!!!!
Thank you so much for being a level-head. I hear those kind of comments every day about iOS despite having games like Alto's Adventure, Radiation Island, Auro and Mayday Deep Space within the last few weeks. Slitherine have been pumping out solid experiences like this one too, so it's not even a genre specific issue. iOS gaming is going great, we may have the odd *ugh* weak week but there's no way we've all finished all our previous purchases anyway. I really feel like people look at things the wrong way sometimes.
Exactly. To push the point further... The Kingdom Rush franchise has been updating their games with new content. Space Miner anyone? Slitherine is pumping out $10 and $20 games as of late every other week. Get over it or get a job.
Me too, I'm driving myself crazy frantically refreshing this forum to see if it's been posted yet! Doesn't look likely. I'm gonna give it 12 minutes then give up and do some work!
Taken just now. And I'd say I doubt IOS would release ahead of pc. ..releases 12 March......by whose clock?
