I remember a couple of decades ago Sid's name attached to a game actually meant something.

Yep can confirm its now $5.49 in Oz store. An hour ago it was free. Darn it, couldn't get because no wifi. Lucky those who got in free.

  3. In this case, it is nice being a Hobbit, though it rains alot over here. Glad to have lockedz it in though, guess I gotta load it up soon.

You could have still clicked to download it, you'd have got a pop saying game will be downloaded when you connect to wifi, and then dload over wifi or iTunes on a PC when you get home for the price you locked in at.
I've done it before with other stuff and not actually dloaded til a few days later and it was still free.

    Uk App Store £3.

    ..instant buy!!

Edit: Awesome!!! In the options you can have permadeath on rather than just injured pilots and turn off female pilots.

(Sorry ladies, I'm not sexist but i prefer the realism)

Edit2: seems although there is a permadeath option your pilots don't actually die.. Just get injured. A bit of a shame on the realism front. No idea why tbh, it's not like blood and guts are shown, a cross with 'Pilot Kia' would have been sufficient.

    Really!!?

I just get a pop up saying its over 100mb. I need to get to wifi basically.
It doesn't then put it ready on my device or anything. Just no action.
I've never been able to download anything without wifi.

Yeah, I've done it loads, I get a little waiting icon for anything over 100mb, and I'll then go to iTunes on my PC and if I search for the app it shows as already purchased and I can redload or it will just start dloading straight to my device when I'm connected to wifi, In fact I just did it earlier for some game, lemme grab a screen shot. Don't laugh at my wallpaper :)

Are you using a wifi only model? I have a mobile data one, wonder if that makes any difference. I do it on a regular basis.

Disappointment: free and then missed it? Dang!

Observation: first there was HK-47 and now a hobbit?! Life can never be this colourful...

Clarification: I never said I would not post in this manner any more. I would resurrect it anywhere, anytime I see fit! It is my post!

i'm using Teamviewer method from a couple of years... if your PC/Mac is running at home/work, you can connect with it also over 3G with the TeamViewer app, open iTunes and download the game... it's really easy!
if you haven't it running, you can turn it on through WOL with the PC Monitor app, although it's more tricky...

4.99!? It's cheaper on the PC. Darn.

Wow, way to start out your first post =\

This isn't a PC. You don't get 10+ hours of battery life from most laptops. Usually PC versions are more expensive, but more often than not, iOS games are cheaper than their PC counterparts.

It is just how things roll.

Are there really no iaps for this? So $5 gets you everything?

    Yes.

I wonder, how difficult is the game? I've seen sanukus video, but I know these games can get really hard later on. I'm crap at leviathan and frozen synapse (my 2 most disappointing purchases) but this looks pretty flexible..?

    Thanks all

Those IAP are from Ace Patrol (the free one) not Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies.
