I've seen Shutter Island and thought that it was alright. Nothing spectacular. I really liked the ending though. And with the Crazies - never heard of it before.
Thanks. Neither of us are really jumping at either of them and Shutter island just seems average at best. If it were up to me, I'd catch Avatar again at the IMAX, but that won't be happening ;0
In my English class, we have been talking about Fahrenheit 451 and "mind control". My teacher showed us the trailer for Shutter Island as an example. You only see an image for a second. This only gives you an immediate thought but nothing else. You do not have an opportunity to think about the details and come up with creative predictions.
From the trailer, Shutter Island seems so predictable. My guess of the final plot at the end to be [maybe spoiler alert]: That the main character (Decaprio) is Patient 67 Am I right, or am I way off (to those who have seen it)?
I told one of my friends who saw the movie about the spoiler and he said there's no point in watching the movie now I read the IMDB plotline afterwards and it sounds like something I would predict anyways. It seems like every other movie now wants to have these "shocking" plot twists after the 6th sense came out. I know it's not the first one that started it (was it Planet of the Apes?) but I believe it was the one that caused the trend.
go watch Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief . Alice in Wonderland 5 march .Go to see it ! Disney
Seen it! The storyline is very new and modern (wait that doesn't work, with it being about Greek Gods and all).
