Should more games offer a free demo version ?

Everyone at one point has bought a game , tried it , and instantly regretted buying it . The same can also be said for the other side of this coin , a person bought a game , played the game and instantly loved it . That being said , those first impressions are very important

Would you like to see more developers release a free demo / lite version of there respective games to help you decide as to wether or not you should be forking out money for the game ?

Would this also help improve game quality if a free demo was expected with every new game release ?

That definitely wouldn't be a bad idea. The experience that a demo provides can certainly be the deciding factor in whether a game would be worth the money.

But I would be a lot happier about current Lite versions if the iTunes Store had a section dedicated to them. The free apps section is a little cluttered with all the game demos.

    YES, totally!!!

And Freemium etc. with DLC is NOT the answer because everytime you reinstall the game you need to wait for your f++++++ DLC to load from the internet.
If the company withdraws the game or something you are left out in the cold also.

Not if the demo is the same size as the full game. If it's crap I don't want to waste my time downloading 200MB of it.

    Yes they should.

Why many don't or wait a while:

    Advertising + hype + etc = Sale

So, if they release a demo, lite, etc. first or alongside... That = not as many sales.

    Do I make sense?

No one likes Freemium. It's a waste of time.

Yes demos are important. But it is a must that it's a true representative of the game. For example Prince of Persia lite was terrible, it just had loads of cut-scenes and very little interesting gameplay. That instantly put me off of a probably good game
Good kites have include Aqua moto Racing, Skate It and Let's Golf 2, all of which give a full level(s) to play around with.

I like the fact that when I purchase a game I get what I paid for. If a DLC comes out (and it interests me enough) - I'll pick it up. Otherwise no.
