    Individual name on site?

IF your an individual seller, are you required by Apple to have your name on the website for the game your selling?

OR can you just have the game title and contact email?

Also how do you transition from being an individual publisher to a company with Apple?
    Many thanks

I totally second everyone else and say that a website is super important, even if it's really simple.

Having a webpage of some sort is also essential to getting into the iTunes/App Store affiliate program. You'll get denied if you link to your iTunes Preview Page for your app.

Well, we also opted for website and not only for one, but two – in two phases.

This monday we launched our pre-launch viral website to collect subscribers and give them free wallpapers, a DVD and a chance to win a SCUBA diving vacation if they share the link they receive.

We sent out a press release about this launch, hoping we can create some "buzz", whatever it is :)

Also, we announced this site here at TA, the upcoming iPad game section.

As the next step, we will start the actual app website once our game is in the App Store (using the same URL).

So I agree with those who said that you must make a website...

This. As a consumer I hate not being able to find a website, or finding one that is poorly put together. And not just with apps. If I'm looking for a product or a service and the company doesn't have a website, I won't deal with them. Period.

You don't have to go crazy and update every day or whatever, but have some screenshots and a video. A video is huge for me. If I'm on the fence with an app, a good video showing me how gameplay actually looks can be the difference between winning me over or not. With the screenshots, have them at a nice large size. Again as a consumer I find it frustrating when I can't quite make out the details on a photo because it's so small. Remember everyone has different monitor sizes.

Other than that, I recommend a little info on who you are and some information on the game itself. Like what sort of game it will be, what you hope to accomplish with it, when you hope to have it out.

    Good luck!
