Should I get 'Things'? Or stick with 2Do? Or get some other Task Manager?

I have 2Do: A beautiful task manager with push and sync. Although I am interested in Thing. Should I get it or do you have another task manager at mind that is better than both? Is NotifyMe 2 any good?

Neither, make a mental note instead. If you forget something it wasn't important enough.

Mental notes aren't enough. I need one for my freshman year, just started and I am piled up on projects and homework.

Use a physical agenda. I really didn't need it freshman year, but sophomore year, it helped a lot. IMO, it's a lot more reliable than an iPod, faster to write in, and the physical action of writing helps you remember what you need to do.

yeah i had a calendar of a naked chick. heh big door poster thing.. i needed it my sophomore year too. laughs.. always looked at her when i woke up so yeah i never forgot a project.. not saying i was not late on a few.. dang them partys. laughs.. man college is/was great time.. ( however, once was enough.. )

    chris.

on a side not emy ipod has been way stable. however, when i upgraded to ISO4 i did lose a lot of my apps but i backed up so its ok.

i also keep a record on appshopper just incase. i just need to add my apps more often to it.. maybe ill do that tomorrow.

That does make sense , although it didn't really work for the first semester. Our principal is prett awesome and allows iPhone's in school as long as there used for productivity. I am one of many in my class that needs a great task manager, we all have iPhones and iPod Touches, and all have different GTD's. I guess a physical binder and whatnot just never worked for me.

I've tried Things, I didn't like it at all; I don't understand what the fuss is..Besides, that app was abandoned by the devs far as I know.

I've been using 2Do for awhile now and its the best app for what it does that I've come across.

But as Kamazar said, don't rely entirely on your iPod, physical notes come in more handy sometimes.

I'm currently using this app called Taskpaper and it's basically like using a text editor with tag filters. The beauty of the app is its simplicity and I like how I don't need to adjust to using a gimmicky or confusing UI. It doesn't have due dates or repeating tasks though and for that I would recommend either todo or toodledo with toodledo web sync. I don't recommend notifyme because you can just do the same thing with the iPhone calendar. And if you sync your iPhone calender to Google Calendar through exchange in real time then you could just create a Task calendar and set alarms on your computer too.

I'm gonna try NotifyMe 2, then I'll write a in depth review of it on my site. Also, in response to your post, I've tried Taskpaper and it's way to simple for me. Due to the fact that High School sucks, I need an app that just gives you reminders, is modern, and is simple. NotifyMe 2 might be just what I'm looking for.
