Good luck bro! Hope you enjoy it. Any games you interested in getting and need some help deciding/ want a second opinion?
I have both and I use my iPad 2 way more then the iPhone. iPhone I basically only use for calls and texts, gaming, web browsing, music, photos, editing, etc all happens on my iPad, I rarely even turn my Mac on anymore, the iPad is GOD
This is such a good thread, been reading through everyones opinions and read some calid points etc My opinion is get an ipad2, it will replace your netbook, much better for games surfing and movies, the onky bonus to the 4S is it will fit in your pocket but like someone else put the battery thru constant use will struggle to get you through the day. I have both devices, but having to choose one-sad to say it as love my 4S, ipad 2 wins
Man, I could never trade my laptop for an iPad! Ridiculous! iPad vs iPhone for gaming = purely subjective. Personally I feel stupid playing something like a racing game or IB on the big ol' iPad. The perfect size for mobile gaming is already available on the market and it's a 4.67" screen on a 4.3" body. Done and Done!!! (maybe a little subjective, but should be taken as fact) iPad is only good for TBS (subjective), tower defense (subjective), maybe eBooks (though I prefer the regular kind) and consumerism (please no hate mail). As of right now I have a Samsung Fascinate (will be updating to another android phone next year), an iPod (the game support and community is better than Android for now), a laptop (I still live in the real world and need one on an almost daily basis ), and my two legs (to take healthy breaks from technology; or hell, just take it with me on the go). Who's up for Words with Friends while we play soccer?!
Hindsight is 20/20 I wish i would have waited for the ipad 3 and just went with the 4s..but i just had to have the ipad2,but i can't get angry for the hardware manufacturers for bringing out new techno every 6+ months( thats the nature of the beast) Its an evil trend, The game devs make games that only run on new hardware forcing you to purchase the newest devices, and the hardware mfg make new devices so the game devs want to push the envelopes of the hardware. AAAAAARRRRRGGGHH when will it ever end... lol "Hey man thats a nice android tablet you have there with ice cream sandwich..can i have a taste"
My view: get ipad2 and wait for iphone5 (if you still want it) since it's gonna have a much bigger screen than the current.
I really don't see the need for an iPad or any tablet, especially with new devices showing you can have that perfect middle ground. Maybe I'm just too logical and anal to really get it. IDK iPad equals fun new toy for consumerism and nothing more.
I had the same view especially since the first ipad came out. Why do anyone want a huge chunky up-sized ipod? At least that was my view up until 2 weeks ago. With my ipad, I play all the games on it rather than on my ipod. Screen size do make a huge difference.
My dad has the iPad 2 and I have an iPod 4g, but I feel as if the device is too big for fighters and such. I've played a few games on the Android devices and it feels so natural. It's like putting the Xbox 360 controller in your hand vs piutting a N64/PS controller in your hand. I swear on everything I know about technology and gaming; 4.67" screen on 4.3" body. It'll beat every mobile device around. Please follow the good trends (well, at least good IMO)! even ICS on the phone is better than the iPad UI. Will I get an iPod next year? YES. Will I get one the year after? MAYBE NOT
@GoofyJmaster I suppose I've everything. Ipod 4g, ipad 2 and a dual core droid phone. Well, tech moves so fast. Can't follow everything.
Haha yeah. It's moving at a staggering rate. I assumed you watched those videos I just posted. Geez, I had my mouth open the whole entire time I was watching. So far, the Galaxy Nexus is being deemed the top dog right now. I just wish Apple would really, really compete instead of telling its consumers what they need. If android persists at this rate, there will be no need for a tint phone or a big tablet because you will have a perfect medium, IMHO. Apple will sent back to being the small niche it once was, but very rich. (a bit of exaggerated sarcasm)
Get both. If you can't afford that, sell your relatives processions. If you still can't afford it, sell your body. It's what Apple wants.
Reading everyone's review here is my 2 cents on it So question arises why would anyone buy an iPhone over IPad and the only reason being: So in short ask anyone who owns both devices and 90% of them tell you they use their iPad's much more than their phones.
