Fun little time waster, would be twice as good with relativ touch controls (those should be standard or at least optional in any iOS shmup). But the repeated use of the same style and sound mechanics (opening boxes etc) slowly feel a bit like lazy cow milking to me.
EXACTLY Specialy with this (great) mechanic of lifting your finger to trigger the missiles, and when putting back, the ship should not move one millimeter. Essential. Updating this issue will give you an easy 5-star rating in my app store.
This is pretty great. I prefer it to Crossy Road, too, but I guess I like shoot-em-ups more anyway. It's also reasonably generous with the bonus boxes etc. which I appreciate. I did just earn the quad runs for 2 hours, so I'm guessing this is going to be a pretty unproductive morning for me.
Loving this so far. I guess my only issue would be the "watch an ad to continue" thing. It's cool and all, but it shouldn't count on GameCenter. I'm not a huge high score chaser, but I'd like to know at least who I've beaten w/o continues. Even a separate leaderboard for continues and no continues would be cool. Anyway, this is still definitely worth a download. It's pretty cool. Definitely gets cray cray at times.
Since it limits you to only one continue, I don't think it's a big issue. It would only be a problem if you could keep buying/watching continues forever to increase your score.
It's SO addicting. I've never been interested in the other crossy / runny / ect type games but I love this. Something about the " one more time " or " got quad shot for 2 hours... Must ... Keep... Going "
I hope this post doesnt mean that Relative Touch controls are ignored. This is a great fun game as it is, but too many unnecessary deaths due to the touch-follow control scheme.
Has anyone figured out how to unlock any of the secret characters yet? I've been playing using the Crossy chicken but I haven't seen anything different yet. Billy
Found a bug. See pic. I had bought the honey badger weapon, played, died, and chose not to continue. This screen popped up. iPhone 5s running iOS 8.4.1 Billy
Crossy Chicken is available to buy for $0 now. I assume it's a random drop normally, since it appears to be in the middle of them. Like others are saying, shooters need a relative touch option. My thumb is covering the character. Also, there's no music!
I've unlocked more than half of the characters and believe it or not I actually like the Crossy Chicken the most lol. I guess I'm a Crossy Road / Hipster Whale fanboy. Billy
I like it. But i feel like there's too much going on on the screen: projectiles, explosions, power ups, coins, smoke, stuff on the background.
